Arashi is the Kakushi Miko (Hidden Shrine Maiden) of Ise shrine. She is the first DoH gathered by Hinoto. Arashi is a cool, calm and serious individual. She is also a strong fighter and possesses the power of the shrine.
In her first appearance, Arashi is looking for Kamui with Daisuke. The meeting, to say the least, did not go well. Both Kamui and Daisuke got injured due to Kamui's attitude. It is here we learn that Arashi fights with a sword that is hidden in her left hand. Her hand is a sheath of sorts.
Arashi is also the woman that fellow DoH Sorata loves. Sorata had quite literally fallen in love with Arashi instantly. He is very persistent and when appropriate (well...usually ^^) Sorata will compliment her or flirt with her. Generally, Arashi will reject his advances by walking away or cooly make fun of him.^^ More recently, though, Sorata has been a little more serious and Arashi seems to be receptive of them. She has been showing her affections towards him privately or in other words, when nobody is watching. She was very close to telling Sorata how she really feels but that was rather comically interrupted by the CCD. ^^
The only known relative of Arashi is Kaede, her grandmother. Like most of the DoH, Arashi did not have a happy childhood. Her mother, who was a priestess, fell in love with a university student and went to Tokyo. She died when Arashi was very young and Arashi was basically left on the streets to fend for herself. Her mother wished for Arashi to live on but when she was found and brought back to the shrine later, Arashi was often pondering whether or not it was worth it to live on. However, she decides to live because Kaede told her that Arashi will meet the one she will love.
Now, she lives with Sorata, Kamui and Yuzuriha and goes to the CLAMP school. They live like a family and it seems that Arashi is showing a little more emotions than before.
