What's up, everybody!? My name is James, and I'm the vocalist from Mindshaft. I'm 20 years old and I've been living in St. Louis for about 11 years. I come here from Corpus Christi, Texas. I was born in the Phillipines in August 1979. I come from Spanish, Chinese, Phillipine, and Irish descent.

My influences in music started when I was seven years old. I started listening to bands like Duran Duran, Billy Idol, and other 80's retro bands. Then when I was 10 I was introduced to 80's glam metal; bands like Def Leppard, Motley Crue, and Guns & Roses. Then came my hip-hop and rap influence. Then along came Korn, which got me back into metal.

Now I think it's time to bring metal up a notch and that's our style of music. That's what Mindshaft is all about.
