How to add payloads to your rockets
So you confident with your rockets eh? time to put on some payloads!
Start off by making a payload case, this one is formed with a glue stick, same size as the 1-1/4" can shells, just more shallow.
Then you will need stars, or whatever you want to put in there, and of course the break charge. These are all seen to the left
Ok, start by putting your stars or whatever in the case.
Now put in your break charge, I use Pulverone with a bit of goex 4Fg.
Ok now put in a disk, smear some white pva glue all over the disk and flaps.
Now fold in the flaps like so...
Then push them down and hold them for a little while.
Well you are probably thinking "Yes i know all that stupid! i want to know how to actually attatch it!"
And here is how.

Start by taking one of the engines (described on my other page) and drill a hole in the side of the clay until you reach the propellant. Don't go too deep, try and only go 1mm into the propellant.
Should look a tad like this.
Now put some meal powder into this hole and press it in there with the blunt side of the drill bit.

Now put some more meal on top of this and ram it
And there ya have it. Attaching the payload can be tricky. you could do it really simply by hot melt gluing it on but I like to paste it up. This can be really fiddly.
Drill a hole in the bottom of your payload and put a peice of black match into it then stick the rocket onto it so the top of the delay touches the black match, then paste a buch of little strips of craft from the bottom of the payload to the side of the rocket lik this:

Then paste a piece of craft around the rocket.
Do this 2 times and it should end up a bit like this:

Mmmmm that looks tasty!
