Glue one (one inch) dowel between the two 4 inch dowels. This
makes the back part of the chair.
Glue another (one inch) dowel between the two 2.5 inch dowels.
This makes the front part of the chair.
Now glue the last two (one inch) dowels to connect the back
(4 inch) and front (2.5 inch) dowels together. You now have
a chair frame.
Wrap the twine around the back and front one inch dowels (as shown
in diagram) until the entire seat is covered with twine. Glue end
of twine at the end of the dowel. For a firmer seat, wrap a second
layer across the first (as shown) then wrap another straight layer
on top of that one (also shown).
Use different colors for a spectacular effect (see completed wrap below).
An easier method of making this chair is to cut a length of
cross-stitch canvas and glue the ends to the two dowels.
