| 1) Go to your Screensaver settings and choose to go to a blank screen after however many minutes you choose. This tip will increase because your processor is not going to deal with those graphics. 2) Disable your Antivirus when you don't need it(when your are not cennected to the internet). The Antivirus program use too much processing time in your computer. 3) Shut down all unecessary programs running in the bacground. 4) Use the program called TASKINFO2000. After installing and starting the program you will see the SETI@Home program running in the left windows. Then set process Priority to "high" or "realtime" NOTE: if you choose "REALTIME" your computer almost freeze up because you almost give all your processor power to SETI@Home. I recommend you to not download the program because the program itself use about 3% of your processor. I recommend you to download the SETI@Home text version it goes abut 10% faster than SSETI@Home graphical version. See Details Below. (I use this) I recommend you to download AutoPilot HERE, download SetiSpy HERE, and download SETI@Home text version HERE. Use AutoPilot to increase the SETI@Home text version (that runs abou 10% faster than graphic version) speed, see more details HERE, then use SetiSpy to hide the client (that makes run faster too) and you can see the client details (speed, user,...ect.)
