Ministry of Attack Airsoft Super 9 pro Review
Introduction

Let me start by saying that I had looked at the possibilities of an airsoft sniper rifle since i started playing the game 3 years ago, but had ruled it out as a "rich man's gun". It was at this point that i deiscovered the existance of the UHC super 9 sniper rifle.

Basically the super nine is a loose copy of the world famous Remington 700 bolt action rifle (the military version is known as the M40) but contains no markings and isnt a 100% replica. The gun has a plastic reciver with meatl bolt handle, cover, cylinder and a synthetic stock.

Apearence:

The super 9 is a good looking gun, simular to the APS2 in apearence, with a large amount of external metal parts. The whole gun feels verry solid and is free of creeky parts (marui take note!)

Features

The UHC super 9 pro comes with hop-up barrel, sling swivels, 2 magasines (more on this later) and 10 shells. There are two loding twpes available on this gun

1. Shell Firing: the shells suplied with the super 9 each hold 1 bb, they are held in a 5 round mag in the bottom of the gun. After each shot the shell is ejected like on the real steel.

2. magasine fed: The super 9 can be fired from an external side mounted 30 round magasine simular in function to those in spring pistols.

The shell ejecting is impressive to watch, but unfortunatly results in a loss of performance, making this a verry gimmicy feature, meanwhile the side mounted mag is UGLY! but is much more functional.

Performance:

Uhc quote the super nine's muzel velocity as 410fps with .12 gram ammo (350 with .2 gram). I have yet to confirm this but I can say the gun definatly fires faster than my upgraded MP5 (around 310fps) so this figure is belivable. The gun itself will fire around the same distance as a marui AEG so this in itself is not all that special.  On the upside though the gun is verry easy to upgrade and from what I have heard peaple have had 60meter kills with theirs.  See the airsoftzone.com discussion forums for endless information on this subject.

Summary:

So I guess with a little effort the super 9 can make a compitent snipers weapon, but at the end of the day you get what you pay for. If you want APS2 acuracy and range then there is no substitute, but if u have the patience and a little knowledge the Super 9 could save you a lot of money.

You pay your money and take your choice peeps!

I will update this review when I have finished upgrading my Super 9, until then happy plinking!

James: I've had so many e-mails about this gun, Chiff bought the gun second hand so the upgrades were not done by him, i think they were just external.

The barrel was machined and created from scratch by the previous owner!!!
