Country Analysis

In this assignment you will create a Power Point Presentation on a Country of your choice. To help you select a country and to avoid duplication among all students, you must select a country, which starts with the first letter of your First Name. For example: If your name is Susan, you can do Switzerland, Spain, Saudi Arabia etc…

Once you have selected your country, use the Internet to research your country. The following sites might be useful to you on your search:

www.odci.gov (select the World Fact Book and your Country for detailed country information)
www.yahoo.com (select Travel and your country)

(use the Favorites to bookmark your sites, try not to print these in order to save paper)

www.expedia.com (to find information regarding airfare etc…)

The following information must be included in your presentation:

Map of the country (Geographical Location, neighboring countries, important cities, capital etc…)
Climate (what is the weather like? If you were visiting in the summer what type of clothing, would you pack?)
Official Hymn of the Country (Saved as a Sound File and Inserted somewhere in your presentation)
Flag (Picture of the Map, Significance of the Colors or symbols etc…)
Climate
Population Statistics (# of people, ethnic backgrounds, languages, etc…)
Economic Information (is this a poor country or a wealthy country? How do the people live? What is the average income? What is the currency that they use?)
Agriculture (What are the major crops? What do they mostly import/export? Are they known for anything specific?)
Monuments or Points of Interest (Where would you go if you were visiting this country?)
Flight and Hotel Information plan to stay one week and plan your vacation to this country. Let us know how much it would cost to fly, and stay at a hotel for 6 nights. What monuments, or tourist spots should we see?

Create a Power Point Presentation with the information that you found. For this presentation you must create your own template by Selecting View Master and choosing all of the fonts, colors etc.. for this presentation. Be Creative! I am looking for Interesting pictures of this country and appropriate colors and fonts!

** Be advised that you can be creative when creating this presentation, use animation, transitions, motion clips, pictures from the Internet, color etc..
