Note on Rankings

Weira - The senior queenrider of the Weir.

Weirina - A junior queenrider.

Weiron - The male leader of the Weir, usually a Wingleader whose bronze or slate has flown the senior queen.

Weirlingmaster - The older rider whose duty it is to train up new riders.

Wingleader - Rider who commands a fighting Wing. A Wing is made up of twelve to thirty fighting dragons and their riders.

Wingsecond - Second in command of a fighting Wing.

Wingthird - A junior officer who assists a Wingleader, usually a bronze or slate rider waiting for an opening as a Wingsecond.

Wingflier - Any fighting dragon's rider.

Weirling - The rider of an immature dragon of any color. Not to be confused with Weirbrat, a derogatory term for a child born in the Weir and raised around dragons.
