Should Have for Entering

Kindergarten

 

 

 

To be well prepared for kindergarten your child should be able to do the following:

 

-  follow simple directions

-  rest quietly

-  take care of bathroom needs

-  write first name

-        hold scissors and cut

-        sit still for a story

-        identify some letters of the alphabet (start with those in name; the more they know the better)

-        count at least to 5, preferably to 10

-        identify some numbers

-        sing ABC song

-        identify basic colors

-        identify circle, triangle, and rectangle (square)
