with this line-up a self-titled first demo rehearsal was recorded in early 1993. despite the poor quality it helped to spread the name. january 1994 saw their return to a studio and the "words unspoken" tape was recorded and released. with the release of this demo, the band's reputation started to grow. until the next demo, "veil of lead" was recorded in 1996 the band went through two line-up changes. bass player rainer hampel joined furtheron forces with end of green and ingo häderle concentrated on family life. in came klaus schmidt on bass, an old friend of the band and member in several other local bands before. the new drummer was gunnar drescher who still played in the progressive power metal band beyond the dark at that time.
an inofficial promo tape entiled "cease" (tracks: "wish", cease", "to be kept in suspense") was recorded later that year and led to a deal with the newly found label sub zero records. first result of this collaboration was the "veil of lead" mini-cd which was released in 1997 and quickly sold out it's initial pressing.
a full-length on sub zero was planned as the next step. as a preparation the band recorded another studio rehearsal entitled "the float sessions" (tracks: "weiss", "sole", "dreams of misery", "float") in late 1997. the recordings for the "mirrorsoil" album started in december 1997 but it took until august 1999 to get the recordings and the mix-down finished. this was a rough time for the band and guitarist jochen fopp temporarily left the band but rejoined in august 1999.
the "mirrorsoil" album was released in january 2001on the u.k. based label the miskatonic foundation (warning, twisted tower dire).
supporting the release of the album mirror of deception toured england in february 2001.
in autumn 2001 the band embarked on their first fullscale german tour, entitled "doom's diner" together with end of green.
at present the band is working on new material for their second album which will be recorded around autumn 2002.
