Space Boyz is the signature moderate climb at El Potrero Chico. It is 11 pitches of bolted limestone. 1000 feet of climbing puts you on the summit, which is merely a small spire one third of the way to the summit of El Toro.
Ironically, the highlight of my ascent of Space Boyz was getting back to the ground. Mark and I were greeted on the ground by a generous Mexican family. They were having a picnic, and invited us to join them. We enjoyed a very genuine Mexican meal and some ice cold Carta Blanca. It was definitely the highlight of our trip.
