There's nothing sweeter than a ripe, cold, refreshing *nectarine* (especially after a workout). As my cousin Ubi would say - "three words - dee lish us". |

A silver lining appeared in my cloudy existence. After briefly describing the drama in my life to my sister, she got on the phone to her husband and with the stroke of her credit card to a major airline, will be on her way to see me in one week. I was so stunned by the suddeness of it all that I still can't believe it. I haven't seen her, her husband or my niece and nephew since last November. This is definitely what I needed right now. Thank you God! |

*Nectarines, common name for a tree, a variety of the common peach, and for it's smooth-skinned fleshy fruit. The fruit differs from the peach in skin texture, aroma, but closely resembles it in color, and in size and shape of seed. Peach seeds occasionally give rise to trees that bear nectarines, and nectarines seeds may give rise to trees bearing either peaches or nectarines. They are grown extensively in California. The nectarine belongs to the family Rosaceae. |
