Sold My Soul to Satan
By Jason Games, Knives

NARRATION

Seems like everyone was out for blood. I was going to do a simple hit, that was my orginal plan. But now it seems over played.

Ah well.

S was about to get some serious negative media attention.

=======================================================

"You guys have fun now," Knives called, waving to his fellow minions. He flipped the collar up on his leather duster, effectively concealing the shiny collar that cut into the circulation of his neck.

"HEY!" Knives started walking backwards, pointing towards the fleeting figures of the others. "Let's meet back here around seven and catch dinner togther, huh?"

With a grin he stomped off.

======================================================

"Knives!!!" The voice was male, defiently male. Hoarsed and pre-pubic, even though it's owner looked well beyond the age of 19. He spoke with an effiement accent, causing a wince from the person on the other line. The man leaned forward, putting his weight onto the container that held up his video phone, smiling like a school girl in heat. "I haven't seen you in AGES!!!"

Another wince emitted from the tattooed pallored gunman. "Yeah, all's the pity..."

"Hey, Knives, we're you calling from? I can't pick up a trace."

"I'm..."

"Don't worry! I'll figure it out!!!"

"WILLIAM."

"Oh, Knives, stop. I'm just teasing. Where are you, really? This isn't a local call."

Shock over, Jason Games quickly recovered, throwing his own body onto the table top of the hotel lobby. The smirk on his face was swaggering, as it ususal was when he was trying to manipulate people with his charm. Noone ever accused Knives of genius or wit, however, he did have a certain flare - smooth if ya will - that got him what he wanted.

"Funny you should ask William..."

"If this is about that Araplago back order..."

"Relax, I've completely forgotten about that. And look," he held up a hand, "it's completely healed."

"Oh, Knives! It's beautiful! Can you flex all the way? Is it new?"

An order of faulty hand guns with built in silencers had caused Knives to be limbless for a few months, until he had finally put in the money for one of those experiment regerations, in which they stem-celled him a new one. Hand that is.

"Listen, Will, I gotta a favor to ask you."

"Anything!" The adoration in his voice was unsettling.

Knives batted his eyes, "You still do business of L2?"

"That scuz bucket? What do you take me for?"

"Greedy and arrogent, but really, are you still doing bussiness?"

"I still own a few minor ship yards, some gates..."

"Great. So you have complete access to all that stuff?"

The man on the screen blinked, placing a finger to his lip, not quite understanding. "...yes..."

At that moment, if the devil were to smile he would look like Knives. "Excellent. I need access to a few 'gates. Complete access."

"Complete access?" William bawked, "For-for how long???"

Knives shrugged, flicking his fingers off-handily, "Until the end of time. Perferably."

"You're kidding!!!" William stuttered, he looked to the ground, mind roaming in calculations, "That'll cost.... My God, Knives, it costs over 70 thousand a month..."

Knives replied without pause, voice even and confident, "So, I'll give you 25?"

"THOUSAND???"

"Dollars." He waved the said money into the camera.

William nearly fainted. "You're kid-kidd..."

Shrewd to the end. "C'mon, Will. Do it for you ol' pal, Knives. I'm sure we can work out a deal."

"D-deal?"

"Sure. Hey, you're Dad's birthday's coming up, right?"

"R-right."

"How would he like my secrutary to jump out of his cake?"

"Well...actually..." A cunning smirk appeared on William's face. He grinned, "He's love that! But... no deal."

"William!"

"Unless!" The merchant held up a finger, "Unless I get a date too. Say, next time your in town?"

He had been trying to weasle his way into this bargin since the two had begun business. So far, Knives had not buckled. "I dunno..."

"Oh, c'mon Knives! We don't have to have SEX!!!" Now it was Knives term to nearly faint. William closed his eyes cheerfully, "Not unless you want to, of course!"

"Right. No rape." He replied uneasily. He weighed his opitions. This could be a kick ass investment if he could get it. And it'd kill off three days of work. For what? His secreuitary claiming to NEVER speak to him again, only to call up four months later complaining about her date with a grubby old man. Completely forgetting he was the cause of her anguish. And a few latin mombos with William at a gay bar.

He weighed his opitions. "You've got a deal, Will. Next time I'm in the area, I'll take you out to town."

In his mind he vowed never to visit colony LL-6 as long as he lived.

William grinned. "Excellent, I'll make the transaction right now!"
