RESULTS OF THE 2008 POPULARITY POLL!
The Female Fight Fiction Wrestling Association today announced the final results of it's fifth annual popularity poll, this one for the year ending 2008.
Surprisingly, this year's results created the first ever ties, both for the top and runner up spots in the Women's Division. In the Veteran's Division, polls had to be reset late in the year due to a problem with the voting site, so only percentages of overall votes are shown. Due to that, it is not possible to determine the overall top 5 for 2008, so results are shown only for each division. With all that in mind, here are the results of the 2008 Popularity Poll:
Women's Division Results
1. (tie) Brit - 578 votes (2nd place last year)
1. (tie) Peaches - 578 votes (3rd place last year)
3. (tie) Adina - 576 votes (4th place last year)
3. (tie) Estela - 576 votes (1st place last year)
3. (tie) Kayla - 576 votes (1st year in Women's Division)
6. Jade - 547 votes (1st year in Women's Division)
7. Shamiqua - 382 votes (5th place last year)
8. Flora - 289 votes (last place last year)
Veteran's Division Results
1. Elektra - 22% of votes (2nd place last year)
2. Panthera - 21% of votes (1st place last year)
3. Sable - 18% of votes (4th place last year)
4. Lace - 12% of votes (5th place last year)
5. Big, Bad Bertha - 11% of votes (7th place last year)
6. Ms. Liberty - 7% of votes (6th place last year)
7. Samurai - 5% of votes (3rd place last year)
8. Cocoa - 4% of votes (last place last year)
The polls for 2009 have been reset and are now open, allowing fans to once again rate the women. Some of these wrestlers were also eliminated in the amateur Elimination Tournament, so 2009 polls reflect the current rosters. Any other fallout from these results remains to be seen, but one thing is for certain, pride and emotions will surely instigate some rivalries, and will play a part in future stories!
