The crew discovers a crashed ship that has been trapped for many years on a planet with its crew unable to repair it. However, someone in the ship has a secret to hide.
This wouldn't be so bad were it not such a blatant set-up in the beginning. The more a bunch of characters have to say 'I wonder if he's what he says?' the lazier things become. There's really nothing to this story, consisting as it does of a few Enterprise crew members wandering about a downed ship before they're told that everyone on board is a hologram apart from Ezral and his daughter. Firstly it's a twist that's been done before, in Trek for one, and secondly it's not even an interesting twist and takes way too long to arrive, the rest of the episode consisting mainly of double talk where people say that their secret must never be discovered.
Rene Auberjonois makes a fair stab at the character of Ezral, but he's not given very much to work with. None of the crew are very well catered for either, with some trapped on Ezral's ship, Trip getting another crack at romance and no one else doing anything of particular relevance. Forgive me for this review being a little on the short side, but I really can't think of anything else worth mentioning about this episode, it's so instantly forgettable.
