A ship's captain asks for help fixing some things on his ship, including a cryogenic unit in which he claims he is transporting a young woman back to a special assignment. When Trip inadvertently wakes here up, however, she claims she's been kidnapped.
Obviously not content with stealing from other Star Trek episodes, this week Enterprise steals from Shakespeare, specifically The Taming of the Shrew. It wouldn't be so bad, but many TV shows have already used the premise of a grouchy posh woman falling for a rough, rugged man, not to mention movies, and that just makes this even more predictable and dull. If anything, the story it's closest to is the Quantum Leap episode The Leaping of the Shrew (do you see what they did there), leaving you to wonder if Archer was originally going to be the star of this story until he pointed out he'd only done his last version of it a few years ago.
To add insult to injury, the plot is next to non-existent outside Connor Trinneer running around in his pants again, and this time he's accompanied in this pursuit by his half-dressed princess wannabe. It's lucky she's actually quite attractive, because she's certainly got no acting ability to speak of, and the chemistry between her and Trip doesn't convince at all. It's simply another demonstration of Enterprise having no ideas whatsoever, and if it's reached this level already, it may be that there's no easy way to save it.
