There's a serious carrot situation when one of the alien probes manages to find its way to the LEXX and starts to terrorize Stan, Xev, Kai and the visiting Prince, Priest and Bunny. Can they get rid of it before it kills them?
It seems the series has slipped back into laziness mode with this story that takes too much of a cue from the past and is set almost entirely on the LEXX where there is much running around while little goes on. The plot is simplistic and it takes too long for anything much to happen, we still don't get a lot of information about the probes, there's a lot of fart jokes which aren't really necessary or amusing and there is obviously a hope that using the word 'carrot' a lot instead of 'probe' will also get some laughs.
There's no fun to be had in guessing who's possessed as they quickly are revealed most of the time, and all of a sudden the probe doesn't seem keen to kill any of its hosts. But why? Surely it wouldn't make any difference to its research into food and the taste of it? There's some interesting stuff with Prince, especially his deal with Kai, but in the main there's not a lot to recommend this episode as it takes a long time to get essentially nowhere. Prince, Priest and Bunny aren't very amusing, 790 doesn't do anything we haven't seen before, so it's all more of the same. And still Stan doesn't know where the LEXX key is. Surely he should have a fair idea now; after all, who else is living on the ship aside from the moth breeders?
