Hello from Beautiful British Columbia! Vancouver is a great city with plenty of things to do. I moved to Canada on early March, 2000. I lived first in the North Vancouver District near Grouse Montain and now I live in the city of Burnaby.
I already have found a job and life looks brighter than ever. For those of you who may have problems locating Vancouver on your map this may help:
Vancouver has many attractions, most of them are from nature. Vancouver has very espectacular natural settings, you have snow covered mountains, beautiful marinas, impressive parks and gardens, gray and killer whales, etc. One of the top attractions is Stanley Park. The 9 Kms walk around its perimeter is a must for any visitor to Vancouver! One of the Park highlights are the totem poles carved by the native indians of British Columbia a long time ago.
Vancouver is also a very modern and above all a very multicultural city. When you take the public transport you can listen to conversations in many different languages. The most visible minority being from Asia. Vancouver also hosts a large number of international students from all over the world who arrive here to learn the English Language.
