Work Hours:  8:30am - 5:45 pm

Well, today we worked on finishing up discovering all the in's and out's of the second keithley instrument.  We finally were able to get it to work and even completed a draft of our big program to test Jean-Marie's chips... this involves two GPIB controlled instruments at this point of time.

Lindsay wasn't there again today.  But at lunch, we went to the Dairy for the first time.  The guys in our lab from the Merit Program invited us to go over there to lunch with them, so especially since it was such a nice day, we jumped on the opportunity for a nice walk in the sun and a change in scenery.

Late this afternoon, it was time for the weekly lab meeting.  Today Hong Hou discussed the 4 main types of photodetectors.  This was particularly an important topic to Maria and I since we're going to be working on optoelectronics (namely photodiodes) in the next phase of our work here at RISE
