Hours at Work:  9:30am - 5:30pm

First thing today, I made my demo circuit for the RISE level one program look nice and neat.  Then I worked on the handout.  This took me up until the normal lunch time.  I needed to get pictures off my camera and make one last circuit diagram using visio so at lunch break, Maria was leaving anyway, so she gave me a ride back to my apartment.

There, I spent about 45 minutes getting the pictures I wanted into the handout document and then drawing the circuit diagram in Visio.  Afterwards, I made myself some lunch and ate it while listening to some tunes on my computer.

I headed back to the lab around 2pm and showed Pamela my handout.  Next I had to cut breadboards so that we'd have enough for all the girls to have one.  Maria's circuit takes up a larger space than mine, so I cut them so that there would be a small section and a large section.

After that, I ended up tidying up the lab so that it wouldn't look like a hurricane hit it when the RISE level one-ers come tomorrow.

We had the weekly lab meeting, and for once I understood a lot of what was being said... I even answered a question right!  :)  woohoo.

After the meeting, I left work and decided to go metroing.  I had my Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone book with me that I had just read a page or two of this morning, so I figured I could get some good reading in while also crossing some of the metro stops off my list.  And was I right!  I ended up spending over 4 hours on the metro.  I didn't even really realize I'd been on the train so long until I reached page 250 of 309, and then I was all the way over at Rosslyn.  But I decided to go ahead and finish the Blue line anyway... so by the time I ended up getting back to College Park I had reached page 303.  When I went to swipe out of the metro system, it wouldn't let me... apparently the cards time out if you don't swipe out within a certain amount of time, and I guess that time doesn't allow for over 4 hours of being on the metro system.

By the time I had gotten to College Park, it had also started raining so I ended up walking home in the rain... I did stop at TCBY though to get some ice cream.  :)

So, now I only have about 12 more metro stops until I will have completed the entire metrorail system and can go back at get me that super-cool t-shirt from Union Station with the map of the metrorail system printed on it!  :)
