The meeting was called to order at 7:45pm and the minutes from the previous meeting were read. The minutes were accepted by Tim and Angie and passed without objection or omissions.

Executive Reports

Public Relations – Nothing to report

Statistician – Congratulations to division winners

Almon A – A division

Cap’t Elis’s – B division

Spryfield Q – C division

Treasurer – Jan went over team fines.

Old Business

Banquet – Food will be served at 6:30pm. Please have numbers and guests by October 1, 2005 to Keith. Please have all trophies delivered to Cap’t Eli’s by September 19, 2005.

New Business

Helen reports that the following incident occurred while Dooly’s Kempt was playing Dave Doolittle’s.

Annette Shea and Jackie Noseworthy were playing when Jackie fouled on a shot. Annette picked up the ball and Jackie asked if Annette had called a foul. Annette kept playing and ignored repeated requests to stop while the rule was clarified. Darlene tried to intervene and was physically moved out of the way by Annette. Annette was verbally abusive to her team and the opposing team.

The executive will talk to Darlene and a letter will be issued to Annette. It was not decided at this time whether the letter would be a warning letter or a suspension. If there was a physical altercation then it will be a suspension.

Dooly’s Kempt had issue with Connie’s comments regarding this situation when they called for assistance. Connie advised Dooly’s Kempt to show more sportsmanlike behaviour. Jennifer advised that she was aware of the situation and no mention was made at that time that Annette was abusive. The team did advise however that the fact that Jackie fouled was not in question by either team. Based on the information that Connie was given over the phone; her comments were not out of line.
