The meeting was called to order at 7:20 p.m. and attendance was taken. The minutes from the last meeting were read by Christa Cormier. The minutes were accepted without objection.

Financial Report Circulated. All dues has been paid in full.

 

Secretary:

No fines.

 

Old Business:

Ross confirmed D.J.

 

Dwayne has not received letter as of today. The letter has been drafted and signed by Jennifer and Christa. Dwayne will receive the letter in a week or so.

 

All annual Trophies are at Almon. Keith/Angie will take care of all trophies for the banquet.

 

New Business:

Almon B was concerned that Jennifer does not know all of the rules, and they feel that she should because she is President. The team only called her once and she had to confirm the ruling the second in question had to do with Almon A’s team therefore she did not want to get involved. Jennifer explained that she is a volunteer and that she is only human.

 

Jennifer suggested next year the league votes in a rule committee because now there are two sets of rules, World Standardize and BCA. It would be helpful because it would give teams people to call on rulings and also ensure the rules are clear.

 

All names for team awards have been received. Dooly’s Kempt confirmed that they want Dooly’s Kempt on all of their awards not Players Club. Votes were submitted for Most Sportsmanlike in the league, Most Improved in league and Most Enjoyable Atmosphere. Hall of fame also inducted individuals.

 

Ross Bruce mentioned that the website still states the last 3 out of 4 weeks are required for all major awards. Jennifer confirmed that the changes happened 1 Sep 08. The High Average is the only award that is required to play the last 3 out of 4 weeks.

 

Ross Bruce suggested for next year there should be an award for Most Improved Team. This may stop teams from trying to stay out of certain divisions. It is also nice to congratulate a team on a good accomplishment.
