Executive Reports

Treasurer’s report - There is a balance of $277.13 left in the league’s account. A receipt for $34.50 from a lost plague has been submitted. After last year’s banquet it was discovered that the cost of the banquet did not include gratuities for the servers. Keith has confirmed that there were 5 servers and the league is giving Keith $100.00 for them. This leaves $142.40 left in the league’s account to start the year.

Vice President - Don contacted all teams from last year about participation in the league this year. The numbers were submitted to Connie

No other reports.

Old Business

The banquet went well and the meal was very good. Don pointed out that there was not enough seating at the banquet. Keith advised that there 20 extra people at the banquet. If the banquet were to be held at Brewster’s in the future there is enough room for more tables to be added.

Myles pointed out that there were not enough seats at his team’s table to accommodate the players. Keith advised that the tables were set up to seat 12 per table. In the future if more seats are needed at the table just let the banquet staff know and more seats will be provided.

Last year before the playoffs started it was brought to the league’s attention that the tables at Dave Doolittle’s were in need of repair. Teams had concerns about playing on these tables for playoffs. Don Gates approached the owner with our concerns and was assured that the tables would be fixed. The tables were repaired before playoffs. It has come to the executive’s attention that Dave Doolittle’s A played both rounds of playoffs at Dooly’s Kempt even though the tables had been repaired. Connie stated on behalf of the league that if we step in and approach an owner to repair tables then the team must play there when they are scheduled to.

Don Gates advised that we saved $500.00 on trophies and that two trophies that were thought to be lost have been found.

New Business

The Cue and Cushion, formerly Halifax Q, will be adding a second team. They will be required to provide a preliminary roster of 16 players by the next meeting.

Tentative start date for regular league play will be May 26, 2004. We have 13 or 14 teams right now. All teams must be submitted by the next meeting.
