GENERAL MEETING
Club Q, Halifax
May 2, 2004
The meeting was called to order at 7:15 pm by Dale Brimicombe and attendance was taken.
The following teams were present:

Treasurer, Jan Thomas-Giles was absent.
Motion: To have all mixed metro pool league meetings for the 2004 season at Club Q. Don Gates made the motion and it was seconded by Brad Oxner. The motion passed with none opposed.
Spryfield B would like to submit a team. They were advised that they need to submit a roster of 12 people by the next meeting.
The minutes from the previous meeting were then read by Jennifer. One amendment was made: Cue and Cushion was advised that they needed a preliminary roster of 16 players. They only need a roster of 12 players.
A motion to accept the minutes was made by Darlene and seconded by Angie. The motion was passed with none opposed.
New Business
Playoff schedule will be discussed at the next meeting.
Rules and Qualifications: We are currently using world standardized rules with a few amendments. We will continue to use the same rules that we used last year and each team will be given a copy of the rules with their package at the next meeting.
Qualifications for trophies and awards will remain the same as last year.
Cyril Abs Memorial Tournament is tentatively scheduled for July 10, 2004. Each player will be required to have 3 weeks of play to qualify.
The following motion was made in regard to the location of the tournament:
To have the Cyril Abs memorial tournament at Club Q. Entry fee is $30.00 per team this includes a $10.00 green fee. Minimum number of players is 4 per team. A $10.00 fine per player will be removed from team bond money for absent players. Bring your own partner.
The motion was made by Connie Lynch and seconded by Don Gates. There were none opposed to the motion and the motion carried.
Banquet: Please bring all quotes to the next meeting. A decision on banquet location will be made at the next meeting.
The next meeting will be held on Sunday, May 23, 2004 at 7:00pm at Club Q. The meeting was adjourned at 8:10pm.
