The handles of this vanity set was made of electrical resistors, which are ceramic and some have stripes and work very well for mini handles. The comb was the most interesting to make. While the clay was uncured I sliced teeth in the comb, then I cured it. After it was cooled off I again sliced more teeth and trimmed with my xacto knife. March '99 mini page Mini Page BACK |

The Mirror. The Comb. The Letter Opener. The Shoehorn. The interesting thing about the items with the electronic resistor handles, is that the wire that the resister comes on, three inches to each end, has been cut down to the nip at the end and then cut long where the clay is. This wire inside of the comb, let's say, gives it not only extra strength, but also provided a barrier beyond with I could not cut when cutting the teeth of the comb. Nifty! |
