Have you not noticed? The voice sounds shocked. Hasn't your thirst to kill disappeared whenever you're near that girl? Haven't you smiled much more ever since you met her? Hasn't your bitterness toward the fact that you're a hanyou diminished ever since you met her? Did you not realize that you just said to me that you're not a youkai? She's purifying you ever second that you're spending with her. She's using her love and your love toward her to purify you.

Even though Inuyasha doesn't know who that voice belongs to, or why is it there. But he is sure that what he said is true.

Listen!! The voice repeats in a demanding tone, Inuyasha recognizes it instantly. His father used to use that tone whenever his servant mocked Inuyasha for being a hanyou. His father was a busy taiyoukai, but whenever he saw someone mistreat his son, his authority took over, and that servant would most certainly end up dead.

O...Otoosan?

Finally, you recognized my voice. Listen well then, I don't have much time. Inuyasha's father continues at a faster speed than before. Use all the shards you've collected, Kagome will understand. Then you'd be able to obtain enough power to track down Naraku's jaki. Although I must wan you, his youki has diminished into a point in which even a powerful miko like Hanako cannot track down. Naraku's youki has disappeared because he's in hiding. But he's closer than you think. He is in disguise, I cannot tell you how he managed to hide all that youki, but what I can tell you is that your fight with him the last time should be exactly how you fight him the next time. Remember this, my son, you're never alone.

Wait, otoosan, I don't understand. Even if Naraku is in disguise, how is he able to hide all that youki? And what do you mean fight like I did last time? Last time wasn't enough to kill him. How is doing the same thing going to help?

You're too impatient, my son. I have to go now; your mother and your step-mother are fighting over a teapot again. Just remember, only time can destroy evil. Wait and hope, Inuyasha, wait and hope. OMG, they broke the teapot!!!

Otoosan?

It became very quiet. His father's instructions were unclear and very crummy by Inuyasha's standards. And he wanted to talk to his mother as well, but she was probably too busy fighting with Sesshomaru's mother.

"Inuyasha! Inuyasha! Open your eyes, Inuyasha, onegai!!!"

"Kagome?" Inuyasha's eyelids flicker for a few times. Kagome's voice rings clear in his head. Why is my face wet?

"Inuyasha, are you alright, Inuyasha?"

Kagome is worried, I have to go back to her, I have to tell her that I'm fine. Damn eyes, open!!!

Kagome's face is above him, everything is still blurry. His head is spinning. It feels as though his limbs are dislocated from his body. The only thing he can do is to open his eyes to a slit, and mumble out"Kagome" every two seconds.

"Is Inuyasha still unconscious?" Sango just came into a larger hut where everyone was fussing over Inuyasha, carrying a bucket of cold water from the stream.

"Yes, but he can talk a little now." Miroku replies while he is caring for Shippo, who is pale as ghost as the moment.

Near them Inuyasha lies peacefully on Kagome's laps, currently in his human form. Kagome is weeping at the sight of the hanyou, totally helpless.

"Why has he returned to his human form? It's still day time, and tonight is not the new moon." Sango asks again. The exterminator is also concerned with her friend's well-being.

A woman of 35 enters the hut, holding a string of charms in her hands. Miroku and Kagome instantly feels energized by her presence. "For a hanyou like him," the woman answers Sango's question, "he had to preserve his youkai powers so it would not be purified. It's an automatic response that rarely happens."

"Hanako-sama..."Miroku looks up at the woman, gazing at her beauty. "Thank you for letting us stay in your hut, and thank you for dispersing your miko powers back at the temple to save Inuyasha." Sango notices the perverted Houshi's eyes, she growls Inuyasha-style, giving a sign of her jealousy.

Hanako simply nods. She walks up to Inuyasha and Kagome, "Since he's in his human form now, it's no longer necessary for me to block out my powers." She looks into Kagome's eyes and comforts her with her powers as well as her gentle words. "He will wake soon, do not despair, miko-sama."

"How do you know I am a miko?" Kagome is still sniffling, her right hand carefully stroking Inuyasha's currently black hair, her left hand holding his.

The powerful miko chuckles. "My daughter told me how she has accidentally shot a purified arrow at a young girl in strange garments with three youkai and two human accompanying her. No doubt that girl is you. And you're obviously fine." Hanako then gives a smile to put Kagome at ease. "My daughter is still in training, but her powers are extraordinary for someone at her level. She has both miko and youkai blood flowing through her. If her arrow did not kill you, then you must be a pure soul who's more powerful than her."

While her beauty still mesmerizing Miroku, his mind snaps back into normal mode after listening to that statement. " 'Both miko and Youkai blood'?"

"Yes." Hanako's eyes shows sadness this time instead of wisdom and power. "Haruko's father was a hanyou."

Kagome's heart jumps a beat. Sango looks up at her friend with a smirk.

"My story is too long, I'll save it for another day." Hanako notices Kagome's reaction as well. "I sent my daughter to retrieve her bow and basket, I was going to punish her when she comes back. But now I think it's more important to wake up your Hanyou." Her eyes turn to Kagome meaningfully, putting stress on the word "your" at the same time. Noticing Kagome's blush, she laughs to herself, thinking back to when she was at that age, thinking back to her own hanyou.

"Ka...gome." Inuyasha lets out a whisper. "I'm still alive, Kagome." His eyes remains closed, blinking a little from time to time, trying to get a good look at his Kagome.

This is only making Kagome cry more. "Inuyasha!"

Hanako walks to her herb cabinet, taking out two stands of herbs, walks up to Inuyasha, applies some pressure to his pressure points, and forces the grass down his throat. Inuyasha becomes quiet again, apparently have fallen asleep.

"He'll wake up when the sun sets. Let him get some rest, and regain his strength." Then she turns to Kagome. "You should rest too, Kagome-san, I'll make something for everyone to eat." Her tone makes it a command instead of a suggestion. Miroku understands the hint, and moves Inuyasha off Kagome's lap and into a comfortable futon. Sango does the same with Shippo and Kirara. Then the three friends walk out of the hut and into another for a late lunch.
