Below are pictures of the characters of Inuyasha, their descriptions etc. It's pretty self explanatory.

> Age: Unknown. He's a lot older than you'd think.

> Family: Son of a taiyoukai (great demon) and a human woman. Has a half brother name Sesshomaru, who is a full demon.
> History and Discription: Secluded from both demon and human society as a child, Inuyasha grew to be a loner and had to constantly defend himself against his enemies. He appears to be a clueless and jealous jerk, arrogant and heartless when it comes to fights, but in reality, he's intelligent, protective, and caring. Kikyo broke his heart but he still loves her. But as his adventure with Kagome continues, he just might change his views. He constantly speaks of taking the jewel for himself at the beginning of the series, but as time goes on, we get the point that he'll never do such a thing to Kagome.

> Age: 15, now should be 16

> Weapon: Bow and arrow, miko (priestess) powers
> Family: Mother, little brother (Souta), and grandfather who is the owner of a Shinto shrine.
> History and Description: Kagome was the one who broke the Shikon no Tama (Jewel of Four Souls), and she had an obligation to piece it back together. But she's also fallen in love with Inuyasha. Though jealous of Kikyo, she made a decision to stay by Inuyasha's side. She has a pure heart, a determined spirit, and superb miko powers and cooking skills. Unlike typical anime females, Kagome has a brain and actually is determined to use it.

> Age: Deceased
> Hair color: Black
> Eye color: Brown
> Weapon: Bow and arrow, miko powers
> Family: Little sister Kaede, who now looks a lot older.
> History and Description: Died 50 years ago, now a walking corpse. She was in love with Inuyasha but was tricked by Naraku to seal Inuyasha away. She reincarnated into Kagome but their personalities are very different. She's now determined to kill Naraku and then take Inuyasha to hell with her. She was raised to be a miko, protector of the Shikon no Tama so she never had a chance to live. Now her heart is cold and refuses to let anyone in. Kikyo is a generally hated character, but she has her reasons. She dies once more around episode 120, I don't know if she's going to revive again as of now.
> Name: Naraku/Onigumo (Hell/ogre spider)
> Age: Unknown
> Hair Color: Black
> eye Color: Black
> Weapon: Everything about him is a weapon
> Family: Has several "children". Ex: Kagura and Kanna.
> History and Description: Onigumo was a human bandit who was betrayed by his companions and fell down a cliff. He was found and treated by Kikyo, who didn't know that he was after the Shikon no Tama. During his time with Kikyo, Onigumo fell in love with her and was jealous of Inuyasha. He wanted to see Kikyo and the Tama both contaminated by evil and hatred. So he let himself to be devoured by thousands of demons and became a half demon himself, and he gave himself a new name: Naraku. Because of his power to shape-shift, he was able to pit Inuyasha and Kikyo against each other and caused Kikyo's death. He was also responsible for the kazaana in Miroku's palm. Fifty years later, he comes back in search of the long lost Shikon no Tama. As Inuyasha and the gang learned of his secret, it has become their number one purpose: to kill Naraku.

> Age: Unknown, should be somewhere between 17-22.
> Hair color: Black
> Eye color: Purple/Dark blue
> Weapon: Staff, holy powers, Kazaana (wind tunnel)
> Family: None
> History and Description: Miroku was born with a wind tunnel in the palm of his right hand. Naraku cursed his grandfather fifty years ago. The kazaana sucks in everything if it's not protected by a string of holy beads. But it will still eventually suck in his own body. For the reason of revenge, Miroku constantly asks girls to bear his child so if he doesn't kill Naraku, their child will. His "hit list" ranges from 11 years old girls to 40 year old women despite the fact that monks are supposed to be celibate. But later on in the series, he eventually settles for Sango. P.S. In the Viz manga, kazaana is in his left hand. (They reverse everything)
> Name: Sango (Coral)
> Age: A little older than Kagome
> Hair color: Black
> Eye color: brown/hazelnut
> Weapon: Hiraikotsu (flying bone), sword, and other youkai extermination tools.
> Family: Only family member "alive" is a little brother name Kohaku.
> History and Description: Naraku used Sango's little brother Kohaku to kill her entire village of youkai exterminators, and nearly killed her as well. Kohaku was supposed to be dead, but Naraku inserted a Shikon shard in his back and kept him alive as a servant. Sango joined Kagome to have her revenge on Naraku and find a way to help Kohaku. She eventually fell in love with Miroku and agreed to bear his child around episode 130.
> Name: Shippo (Seven Treasures)
> Age: Unknown
> Hair Color: Orange
> Eye Color: Bright green/blue
> Weapon: Kitsune-bi (fox fire), illusions and magic tricks, bite attack
> History and Description: Shippo joined Kagome when two youkai brothers killed his father. His mind is more mature than his looks. He constantly annoys Inuyasha but has Kagome to defend him. He always feels like the weakest one of the group, and is always eager to prove himself in some ways. He has no direct connection with Naraku, but he'll sure pitch in during battles, no matter how puny he is.
> Name: Sesshomaru
> Age: Unknown, well over several centuries old
> Hair Color: White/Silver
> Eye Color: Golden/Ember
> Weapon: Toukijin, Tenseiga (not really a weapon), poisonous claws, giant dog form - poisonous drool.
> History and Description: Inuyasha's half brother, a full youkai (demon). He's cold and heartless and doesn't speak much. But he fights like a true demon lord. Jaken and Rin are his faithful followers. Though he hated humans in the beginning of the series, Rin's kindess and faithfulness eventually changed him. After he found Rin and Tenseiga (a sword that cannot kill), he no longer longed for Tessaiga or Inuyasha's death. Instead, he also focuses on Naraku because Naraku tried to use him to kill Inuyasha. Full of pride, Sesshomaru is hard to figure out. And as for his age, in one episode, Jaken boasted that he has followed "Sesshomaru-sama to hell and back for several hundreds years", so I think he's pretty old despite his appearance. P.S. In the anime, his elft arm was chopped off by Inuyasha, but in the Viz manga, it was his right. (Again, reversed images).
> Name: Kaede (Maple)
> Age: Between 55 and 60 years old.
> Hair Color: Black
> Eye Color: Brown
> Weapon: Bow and Arrow, and some miko powers.
> Family: Kikyo
> History and Description: Kaede, despite her looks, is (or was) actually Kikyo's little sister. She inherited few miko powers and is not as strong as Kagome or Kikyo. But with age comes wisdom. She's always there with her herbs and wise words when the group needs a hand. Her specialty is being Kagome and Inuyasha's "relationship councilor".

> Age: VERY, VERY, VERY, old
> Hair Color: Beige
> Eye Color: Red-orange
> Weapon: Teeth and claws
> Family: Unknown
> History and Description: For those who doesn't know about Midoriko, you would not know about Kirara's complex history. She's not only Sango's companion and partner, she was also Midoriko's "familiar". As a two-tailed cat demon, she can transform into another form and fly freely in the sky. She was also Inuyasha's scret "practice partner" when he wanted to learn to control Kaze no Kizu (Wound of the Wind). Kirara is no doubt a valuable, and the most mysterious member of their group.

> Age: Unknown
> Hair Color: Brown
> Eye Color: Blue
> Weapon: Legs and arms, carries a sword that he never uses
> Family: Leader of a wolf clan, probably has a lot of distant relatives
> History and Description: Kouga fell in love with Kagome and her abilities to see the Shikon shards. He's Inuyasha's "love rival" despite his promise to marry Ayame, a fellow wolf demon. He also has a personal grudge against Naraku, since Naraku's detachment Kagura killed his comrades. Along with his two followers Ginta and Hakkaku, Kouga is set out to find and kill Naraku. But as time goes on, he sees that Kagome's really in love with Inuyasha.

> Age: Around 8
> Hair Color: Black
> Eye Color: Brown
> Weapon: Her smile (jk)
> Family: all dead
> History and Description: Rin was a homeless and mute orphan. She found Sesshomaru alone in the woods all injured after a fierced battle with Inuyasha. She provided him with food. During Kouga's seige to her village, she was killed by Kouga's wolves. But to show his gratitude, Sesshomaru revived her with Tenseiga. And from then on, she started to talk again and never left Sesshomaru's side. She's a sweet kid and she resolved just about all the problem Sesshomaru has with humans.
> Name: Jaken
> Age: Very Old.
> Hair Color: No hair.
> Eye Color: Disgusting little black eyes.
> Weapon: Staff.
> Family: Unknown
> History and Description: Jaken used to be a small lord among his clan. But Sesshomaru passed by his territory one day and save him. From then on, Jaken became Sesshomaru's servant and number-one fan. He's a tricky little toad and never ceases to flatter Sesshomaru. But his devotion is real. He hated humans just like Sesshomaru. But after he spent some quality time with Rin, he became quite fond of the little human girl as well.
> Name: Kagura (a Shinto dance)
> Age: Unknown
> Hair Color: black
> Eye Color: Red
> Weapon: Fan, the Wind
> Family: Kanna - sister, Naraku - "father"
> History and Description: Kagura was created out of Naraku's body, she is one of his many detachments. Her older sister is Kanna (doesn't seem older, but Kanna is). Her heart is in Naraku's control, so she cannot escape his grasp. Kagura longs for freedom. She's the oen responsible for killing all of Kouga's comrades.
> Name: Kanna
> Age: Unknown
> Hair Color: white
> Eye Color: black
> Weapon: Mirror
> Family: Kagura - younger sister, Naraku - "father"
> History and Description: Kanna was also created as one of Naraku's detachments. She has no emotions at all. Her mirror is her source of power. Unlike Kagura, she does not feeel the need for freedom.
> Name: Myouga
> Age: VERY old
> Hair Color: I think he's bald
> Eye Color: Can't even see his eyes, probably black or brown
> Weapon: His blood sucking whatchamacallit
> Family: Has a fiance that he's currently running away from
> History and Description: Myouga is a very wise, and yet very cowardice old flea demon who used to serve Inuyasha and Sesshomaru's father. He's now on Inuyasha's side. He comes in handy from time to time, but always runs away at the sight of the slightest danger. (He's usually a lot smaller than he is in this picture, but I chose this one to give you a close up of what Myouga looks like. Keep in mind that he's a flea.)
> Name: Totosai
> Age: Pretty Old
> Hair Color: black
> Eye Color: black
> Weapon: Hammer, has fire breathing abilities
> Family: Unknown
> History and Description: Totosai is the sword craftsman for both Inuaysha's Tessaiga and Sesshomaru's Tenseiga. He rides on a three-eyed bull and often appears to help Inuyasha learn how to use Tessaiga. His personality is eccentric, and he can eat a whole horse in one gulp. Besides Shippo, Totosai is Inuyasha's favorite punch bag.
> Name: Kohaku
> Age: between 10 and 14, semi-dead.
> Hair Color: black
> Eye Color: black
> Weapon: Scythe-like knife, small sword
> Family: Sango. Rest are dead.
> History and Description: For a long time Kohaku has suffered from supressed memory. Under Naraku's control, he killed his father and many of their companions. He was dead as well, but Naraku kept him alive with a Shikon shard. He serves as naraku's little spy. But as the anime progresses, he eventually regains some of his lost memory. The biggest conflict in Sango's mind is whether she should end Kohaku's life after they defeat Naraku. He's dead, after all.
> Name: Midoriko
> Age: Deceased
> Hair Color: Black
> Eye Color: Don't know.
> Weapon: Mainly Miko powers.
> Family: Unknown. But she's connected to Kirara somehow.
> History and Description: Midoriko is now a statue inside a cave which is inside Sango's old village. She was the one who fused the Shikon no tama using both good and evil energies. It's said that Midoriko's spirit still lives inside the Tama and is still fighting the countless demons that she trapped. Kirara followed Midoriko at one point, but Rumiko Takahashi never expanded on it.
