Limo got his name because of his
incredible length. This buck is a Pipeline grandson, and like his
grandfather he is very long and has a butt like a hog. True to form
for this bloodline his performance at the 2002 ASU performance test was
outstanding. He placed 4th out of 108 bucks in weight gain
with an average daily gain of 0.702 lbs/day. He and his brothers took
6 of the top 10 spots at that test, and 3 of the top 4! We bought and
resold most of those animals, but decided to keep Limo since he had the best
conformation of the bunch.
His pedigree shows him to be
a full South African with 6 Ennobled animals such as Pipeline, Johaan,
Lobola, Big 85, DOW2 J79 and Ubora in his family tree. He is also descended
from 2 National Grand Champions. He was born on February 10, 2002, and we purchased him
at the end of the performance test from Angelo State University.
We used him on all of our young does in the fall of 2002, and got some
outstanding kids out of him. Ultimately
we sold Limo as a commercial herd sire to a ranch in Arizona on September
25, 2003.
