Biograpgy ![]() Michael Ryder has been vowing audiences for over 20 years. In 1981, Michael founded the now legendary rock/blues group Black Friday. Black Friday's original and creative approach to merging the genres of rock and blues let to both critical and audience acclaim world-wide. Black Friday played sold-out show throughout North America and Europe throughout the 80's and early 90's. In 1994, Michael left Black Friday to begin his solo career. In 1996, Michael earned a nomination for Artist of the Year from the American Blues Awards. Along with the nine CD's produced during his days with Black Friday, Michael recorded 5 CD's as a solo artist. Michael has now begun his third decade of writing and recording the music his loves, blues. He also continues to tour 6-7 months per year.
