Giles sighed deeply and returned to his room. A set of clothes lay across his bed. He peeled off his current outfit and put the new clothes on. Undoubtedly they were Master's, they fit him perfectly. He was wearing a black velvet shirt which hung loosely on him and a pair of tight, black leather pants. He could feel Master in him. He ran his hands through his hair, causing it to stand up a bit. A corner of a mirror peeked through the black sheet covering it. He pulled off the sheet and looked at himself. "Oh Emma, if only you could see me now." He let the darkness of this mirror world surge through him. Here he was strong, obeyed, desired, feared. He inhaled deeply, savoring the power.
But the feeling left quickly. 'This is not who I am. I do not belong here.' He lay down on his bed. A tear trickled down his cheek and dampened his pillow. He was not remorseful about anything he had done or felt, he just wanted to go home, to be on his side of the mirror, to be with his Emma. He closed his eyes and fell asleep.

"Watcher," Emma said softly. She put a hand to his shoulder and gently shook him. "Watcher." Giles stirred and opened his eyes. Emma was standing over him. "The clothes become you," she said smiling.
"No, they don't. Have you found a way to return me yet?"
Emma stopped smiling. "Don't you like it here?"
Giles sat up. "This is not where I belong."
"You do like it, too much. Our scientists are working on creating a temporal rift like the one that brought you here. Since we've done this before, all we have to do it modify the basic formula."
Giles noticed what she was wearing: a white gown. Her hair was swept up. The ribbon around her neck was gone. "Are you getting married?" he joked.
Emma looked down, "In the only way I can."
"What do you mean?"
"I...the Master must feed tonight." She turned her neck to him and he saw two small round scars close to each other.
"Oh dear god," he suddenly felt nauseous.
"It's not so bad, it's rather pleasurable in a way. And now I'm the only one he feeds off of. It's an honor for me, and I am glad to do it."
"Will I...I will be able to feel it."
"Most likely. I came to see if you were hungry." He looked up at her. "For regular food."
"Not now."
"I'm sorry."
"It's...alright," he stood, but his knees gave out and he collapsed into Emma's arms. "I feel dizzy."
"You are feeling what he feels. It's daylight now, he is sleeping. I should not have disturbed you. Please, go back to sleep," she helped Giles back onto the bed and kissed his forehead. "The scientists will have found the way to return you by tonight. After he feeds, you will go."
Giles closed his eyes and drifted off to sleep.

He awoke to the sound of bells. He got up and followed the sound to Master's room. He eased the door opena crack and saw Emma lying on his bed, awake and alert. Master stood beside her, holding her hand, smiling down upon her. 'I missed it then.'
"No," Master said reading his thoughts. "I have not yet begun. Come in." Giles opened the door the rest of the way and entered, immediatly followed by two nurses with several bags of blood and an IV stand. They set up close to the bed, but not right beside it. "Please, sit down," Master pointed to a chair nearby. Giles sat, trembling. Master's face contorted. "Now, we begin."
Emma spoke first. "Willingly I give my self to you. I am yours for all eternity."
Master removed his shirt. "I accept you, and willingly give myself to you in return. I am yours - for all eternity."
"I accept you. Quench your hunger with my blood."
Master slowly lowered himself on top of her as Giles watched, enthralled. He felt unbearable anticipation as Master nestled his head next to Emma's pale throat. Finally, he sank his teeth into her. Giles inhaled sharply and Emma cried out. The metalic taste filled Giles' mouth as Master drank. Emma was still underneath him, holding him to her. Giles tossed his head back as the warmth of her life filled him and Master. He could feel her blood gush past his lips, down his throat, into his stomach and throughout his entire body and soul. He became dizzy from the erotic, wicked pleasure of it. He had to grasp the chair's arms to steady himself. Finally Master pulled back, his face returning to normal, his lips shining with her blood. He quickly rolled off of her and the nurses went to work bandaging Emma's wound and starting a blood transfusion. Master and Giles gasped for air. Master slowly stood and walked to him. "No you must go."
"Will she...?"
"She will be fine." He held his hand out and helped Giles up. He walked with the Watcher to the darkened street where Giles had first found himself in this place. Two scientists were setting up what looked like radio antennas. "Step between those and sit down." Giles did as he was instructed. "I don't know if you will remember anything or not." Giles simply nodded. "Goodbye Rupert Giles."
"Goodbye Master."

"Oh my god, I killed Giles," Willow cried. Oz held her as she wept.
Giles opened his eyes and sat up.
"Are you okay?" Buffy asked, immediatly in his face.
"Yes I...what happened?"
"I was just mixing some herbs and a drop of water fell into a mortar you were holding and...and...and," Willow sobbed hysterically.
Buffy checked Giles for any cuts or bruises. "Sure you're ok? What's my name?"
"Buffy Summers." He moved to get up and Buffy helped him. "You're the Slayer and I'm the Watcher."
"Hey, he's still got the basics down," Xander said, although his dark eyes showed worry.
"I think I need to sit down," Giles said sitting in a chem lab chair.
"I think he's fine," Buffy said to Willow.
"Where's Emma?"
"Oh yeah, he's fine," Oz seconded.
"She's on," Xander started just as Emma dashed into the chem lab, "her way."
"What happened?" Emma asked kneeling beside Giles. "Rupert are you hurt?"
"Small boom, Giles go, Giles back now," Buffy summarized.
"It's all my fault," Willow said, starting to calm down.
"It's alright Will," Emma said turning to her then back to Giles. "No headache?"
"No."
"How's your vision?"
"Fine. I'm fine, really." He stood without aid, then quickly checked to see what he was wearing. He was in his typical librarian gear, thankfully. "I'd just like to get back to the library."
"Let's go then," Emma held him as they walked back to the college library. She guided him into his chair and sat across from him. "You sure?"
"Yes," he said rubbing his face, "I'm fine."
"Ok, I'm going back out on the floor. If you need anything just yell. I'll come back in to check on you in a few minutes in any case," she stood to go.
"Emma?"
"Yes?" she turned to face him.
"I...I love you."
Emma smiled. "I love you too Rupert, always," she turned back around and left the office.
Giles leaned back in his chair and put his hands in his pockets. He felt something in one of them and brought it out. He was holding a strip of scarlet velvet.
The End.
