Creamy Beef and Onions

This is another recipe out of the Better Homes and Gardens New Dieter's Cookbook. My friend Becky gave this one to me and I kind of expanded on it too. :)

3/4 lbs lean ground beef or veal

2 cups sliced fresh mushrooms

2 medium onions cut into wedges

1 clove garlic

1 10 1/4 oz. can beef gravy

1 10 1/4 oz can of cream of mushroom soup

2/3 cup sour cream

1 Tbl. worcestershire sauce

1/4 tsp. thyme, crushed

dash pepper

2 cups hot cooked rice or noodles

In large skillet cook meat, mushrooms, onions and garlic til meat is no longer pink and onion is tender.Drain off fat.

In a mising bowl stir together gravy, soup, worcestershire sauce and thyme and pepper. stir into meat misture and heat through.

serve over rice or noodles.
