Blue's Clues

This is one of my children's favorite shows. We make a point to watch it (at least try to ) both times it comes on during the morning on Nick jr.

Blue is a little puppy and Steve is her owner. They spend their 30 minute segments finding things that Blue is wanting to do, make, etc. To do this she leaves her pawprints on three items (clues) and Steve has to find them. When he finds all three they sit in their "thinking chair" and figure out what it is Blue is trying to tell him.

The show is filled with singing and dancing that keeps the kids entertained and excited. My kids love to sing with Steve, carry their notebook and crayon, get a letter, all the things that Steve does in each show.

Mailbox always delivers a letter for Steve and Blue and they get to sing that the mail is here (in fact that's the wav I've got on my e-mail for when I get a new letter!) The letter is from their friends and is always related to a theme the show is going with in that episode.

There are lots of friends that stay in the house with them, including tickety tock (the clock), slippery soap, Mr. Salt and Mrs. Pepper and baby Paprika, Shovel and Pail and a host of other friends that show up during the shows that need them. You never know who will pop in on Blue and Steve.

This is an excellent show for young kids to catch on. It's designed for them, and tested by kids to make sure nothing is over their heads and stuff.

It's a really neat process they go through to put together each show. It's not your normal cartoon show, nope, these are like real images scanned in and animated or something.
