Words of Inspiration

This is a page for expressing peace and love...through music. So many times music says the things we feel so much inside, or perhaps points out what we're feeling without realizing it. No matter who it is that sings it, or the beat it's moving to, the Lord uses music to get to us and tell us of His love.
I like contemporary Christian music myself, though growing up on the classical hymns, I get just as blessed by them. The following words are from some of my favorite songs, most are excerpts, and not the whole songs. I include the artist and name of the song in case you're interested in finding out more about them. I never stop being amazed at how much the Lord must love music to use it so beautifully to talk to His people.

Crystal Lewis: Come Just as You Are (this is a simple song with great meaning. The message of no matter who you are, how you dress, what you look like...just come and know the Lord.) "Come just as you are, hear the spirit call. Come just as you are. Come and see, come receive, come and live forever."
Bloodstained pages (talking of the redemption and salvation of Jesus' sacrifice) "...the pages have been stained by the blood He shed for me. Praise God, I can't read them, neither can He. What's been forgiven is forgotten and impossible to see. Bloodstained pages, stained by blood He shed for me.
Whenever I stand in wait of judgement to account for all my sin, and a diary of the life I've led is the evidence brought in. There will be no need of that log of deeds, no conviction handed down, for the crimson blood of Jesus kept my wrongs from being found."
Phillips, Craig and Dean: Mercy Came Running "Mercy came running like a prisoner set free. Past all my failures to the point of my need. When the sin that I carried was all I could see, and when I could not reach mercy, mercy came running to me."
Crucified with Christ "When I look back at what I thought was living, I'm amazed at the price I chose to pay, and to think I ignored what really mattered, cause I thought the sacrifice would be to great. But when I finally reached the point of giving in, I found the cross was calling even then. And even though it took dieing to survive, I've never felt so much alive.
For I am crucified with Christ and yet I live. Not I but Christ that lives within me. His cross will never ask for more than I can give, for it's not my strength but His. There's no greater sacrifice, for I am crucified with Christ, and yet I live.
As I hear the Savior call for daily dieing, I will bow beneath the weight of Calvary. Let my hands surrender to His piercing purpose, that holds me to the cross, yet sets me free. I will glory in the power of the cross. The things I thought were gain, I count as loss. And with His suffering I identify, and by His resurrection power I am alive..."
Clay Cross: The Rock "Let the rock that was rolled away be my cornerstone."
Michael W. Smith : I'll lead you home "Hear me calling, just leave it to me, I'll lead you home."
Ray Boltz : One drop of blood "I plead the blood of Jesus and His death upon the cross! One drop of blood fell to the scale....it covered my transgressions and all the times I failed. The enemy was mighty, he came in like a flood, but he was defeated by one drop of blood."
Third Day : Love Song (This is a song of Jesus talking to His people) "I've heard it said that a man would climb a mountain, just to be with the one he loves. How many times has he broken that promise? It has never been done. I've never climbed the highest mountain, but I walked the hill of calvary...just to be with you, I'd do anything. There's no price I would not pay. Just to be with you, I'd give anything. I would give my life away.
I've heard it said that a man would swim the ocean, just to be with the one he loves. How many times has he broken that promise? It can never be done. I've never swam the deepest ocean, but I walked upon the raging sea...just to be with you, I'd do anything. There's no price I would not pay. Just to be with you, I'd give anything, I would give my life away.
I know that you don't understand the fullness of My love, How I died upon the cross for your sins. And I know that you don't realize how much that I gave you, but I promise, I would do it all again...Just to be with you, I've done everything. There's no price I did not pay. Just to be with you, I gave everything, Yes, I gave my life away.
Big Tent Revival: Faith of a Little Seed "all we really need is the faith of a little seed..."
What Would Jesus Do? "What would Jesus do, walkin' in my shoes, workin' at my job, and going to my school? and I hear people say, "Jesus is the way", I believe and that is why I'm askin' you, "What would Jesus do?"
Two Sets of Jonses (this song tells the story of two couples lives, one depending on Jesus, and the other depending on themselves. It's very touching) "...and the rain came down, and it blew the four walls down, and the clouds they rolled away...and one set of Jonses was standing that day."...."so what is the point of this story? what am I trying to say? well, is your life built on the rock of Christ Jesus or a sandy foundation you've manages to lay?"
This is one of the praise and worship songs from church. I don't know who sings it, so if anyone knows you can mail me and let me know. :) If God has Been so Good to you "if God has been so good to you, then you ought to praise Him! (praise Him). if God has been so good to you, then you ought to praise Him! (praise Him). If God has been so good to you, you ought to stand up on your feet and praise Him (praise Him). If God has been so good to you, you ought to stand up on your feet and praise Him (praise Him). If God has been so good to you, you ought to stand up on your feet, and praise and magnify the Lord for He's the one who set you free! " (this is a very simple song, but the charismatic fell has a way of working into your spirit and wanting you to jump with joy at all the Lord has done for you! It never fails to bring the church to shouts of "Glory" and "Praise the Lords!"
Carman : All in Life (from the cd Mission 3:16) "A fortune made a goal achieved, but in God's sight, what does it mean? If I don't glorigy Your name, the things I do, I'll do in vain. Oh Lord, to please You is what I yearn. Help me remember this truth I've learned.
That Kingdoms come and Kingdoms go, but through the Word of God I know when all in life is done and past, only what's done for Christ will last.
To sacrifice and reach a star, but then lose sight of who you are. is never worth the price i know, to gain the world and lose the soul. I know now what you've tried to say, Lord, to me. My spirit can understand, now, I can see.
That kingdoms coms and Kingdoms go, but through the Word of God I know when all in life is done and past, only what's done for Christ will last.
(Carman is one of my favorite Christian musicians. He has so much music that i listen to everyday. He also has a few tapes of hmnal music, one I have in the tape player in my van, me and the kids love listening to it, they sing right along with it!)
No matter your musical preference, I hope that the few words that are written here will give you a good feeling. It's so important to remember that God uses all forms of music to reach His people. We can't expect all generations to feel the same to the hymns we might have grown up on. No matter the beat of the music, it's the message that God is sending in it. As long as my children are listening to God's music, I'm not worried what form it comes in, cause I know that God is the best musician that there has ever been and He can use anything the world may throw into the picture for His greater good.
God Bless!
