|
| | We spotted this train heading northbound on the opposite ridge heading into a tunnel
while we were driving southbound on Route 101. The train was led by a UP loco and
two SPs, followed by a long string of either black tank or hopper cars. We were a quite a distance a way so details are scare but it was
very impressive to see. |

|
| | A southbound UP intermodal train with approximately 40 well cars. We were travelling
northbound at highway speed and it was dark so details are limited. This was my first
spotting of a UP freight. I caught glimpses of two other intermodals on this line during the next couple of days
and heard numerous whistles from our motel. |
