December 31, 2006 ![]() Well, the year gets to end on a good note for this writer. This morning I got an email from the editor of Mouth Full of Bullets who accepted my story "Hard Light" for their December 2007 edition. Okay, it is a year away and I'll get paid a whole five dollars, but this is two stories in a month. That has to be positive, eh? One strange thing is that I sent it out only yesterday. Also sent out some follow up letters yesterday. Noticed that I have had some stuff out since this summer. Oddly most editors got back to me right away. One noted a rejection I missed; another said they are still looking. Do want to say thanks to Duotrope Digest for a better year. I have had four poems and now two stories accepted through markets I found through them. Most of these publications are paying markets. I haven't made buckets of money, but a couple dollars for work I have actually WORKED on is much better than them languishing on my hard drive. Peace and here's hoping for an even better 2007! 2006-12-31 22:37:10 GMT
