August 08, 2007 ![]() Listening today to a mix of tunes from Miles Davis, early and late. Who needs smooth jazz when the Man is around? Have posted to the other blogs if anyone is interested: Monk Notes and mnmwrite is right (sports).
Spent much of yesterday looking up links for my online lit class. My goal is that my students not have to purchase a textbook, so I am working on finding good links for every short story and poem I assign. It was pretty exhausting, and I'm not done, but it felt good to be working. The project just seems to be in everything I do. It is the main reason I don't at all feel rested. There is not a day that goes by that I am not doing something on it, and the extra service pay has proven to be quite insufficient. It will be worthwhile in the long run, but I sure am tired. Have done a little writing, but slowed mostly by the projects. Got one rejection the other day. Even those have slowed. He he. RC United lost both games last weekend. The girls played hard against older (and more aggressive) girls and the score doesn't reflect it, but they held their own. I'm a little ticked that for two weekends in a row we had two games. This meant that if a family was out of town, that girl or girls missed a third of the six game season! We started our game Sunday fielding only five girls (indoor is 7 v 7), and were down two goals by the time three more, who had been stuck behind an accident on the might-as-well-be-one-lane-roads in Rockwall, could get there. Okay...time to stop complaining. Hopefully we'll have a better time on Saturday. The girls have a lock-in at church on Friday. Today is youth group. Tomorrow we have to use the kids' Six Flags tickets, so I guess we will go after Tonya's final. At some point today, I'm going to eat a piece of the cake shown above (made by Alex). Enjoy. 2007-08-08 16:36:50 GMT
