for now...

School has started and life has been hectic. I have nine classes, and though so far the hard stuff hasn't happened (at least in most classes), the schedule is kicking my tail. Tonya has to drive me in each morning, and pick me up after getting the kids. That is good for me getting work done, but really hard on both of us as far as sleep is concerned. Everyday it seems like something new is going on with the project, and so I work on faith all will be well. And now, already, I have to work with my boss on the spring schedule. Oh, and the freakin' bookstore, as usual, did not order enough books for my students. ARRGGGHHH!

Fall Soccer season officially started today. Michaela's team RC Tornados, took a loss. The girls held their own in the first half, but we had one sub and it was really, really hot. I assisted. I swear my main job was to figure out who was most tired and talk girls into going back in. Alex's team didn't play, but I think they have two games next week. Next Saturday we have a doozy. Michaela's team plays at 8 a.m. (thank You, Lord, at least for the morning start) and Alex at 9. The problem is that Michaela's game is in Rowlett and Alex's is in Lake Highlands. Yee hah! The whole U-14 schedule, if anyone wants to try to make a game, is here. Keep checking because the Rowlett league has a history of changing things every other week.

Alex went on a retreat this weekend with her choir. When asked, she indicated she might have had a good time.

Have decided to post a monthly update, if warrented, on publications, and leave off news here unless someone asks otherwise. I do have some pretty good news from last month if anyone is interested. Click here to see. Hope to post Music Notes and Bookmarks for August if I ever get enough time.

Today, I'm listening to a mix of two cds by Ralph Towner. He is a fine guitarist, and these two albums, Anthem and Time Line, are very relaxing and thought provoking, something I very much need right now. On both he plays acoustic (6 and 12 string) guitar. He is also member of the jazz ensemble Oregon. All good stuff.

Guess that's about all for now. If not, I'm too tired to add anything.

Sorry about your tough schedule. Which child is my neice? It has been insane here too. I can't wait to get through this week. October will be so much better! Call John. He met someone from your past today. Interesting story. Bye. Kaye

I think Alex is the one by the coach, second from the end, in the coach's shadow. This was taken last spring.
John met someone from my past? This can't be good.
