Here is Max after a PTO function during which he and a zillion fourth graders sang songs about Texas. He is holding up the poster art he did (with Mom's help) that won a third place medal. He is wearing his Scout uniform because it was Veteran's Day. Thanks much to Mr. Tarver for taking this picture (and others) and burning them to a cd for Max.

Thanksgiving was okay...pleasantly uneventful. We went to Tonya's folks and ate, watched some of the game (I hate the NFL now, but it was Thanksgiving), and the twins stayed over. I spent much of the weekend trying to catch up on the massive amounts of papers and tests I had. Got a lot done.

Still having car problems. Dang alternator. Jacob is helping us get it fixed. I hope we can get it together soon.

Soccer season is over. Basketball has begun, so Max has practices. So far they are at goofy times, like 8:15. Not the coach's fault...that's when we can get the court. I suspect Max will have one game before Christmas and most of the season after.

Alex is doing UIL debate. (Anyone surprised?). I think she has something going on with that tomorrow. She's thinking of joining the track team.

Michaela has been progressing with the clarinet. I'm proud of how hard she is working to improve. Christina has been struggling, but trying pretty hard to get her grades up. I know she misses art.

We thought we had one year with no Christmas pagaent, but alas Max will have the role of Speaker Two this year and so we have Wednesday and Sunday afternoon rehearsals. Yee hah!

Tonya is very excited to be graduating this semester. If you can and are interested in coming, let me know. She has a few tickets (can you believe you need tickets for something like this?), I we need to plan accordingly.

I am exciting to teach my Winter class online this year, so I can be home a bit more. Things are crazy, but at least I can be in my pajamas!

More later, I hope.
