Woman Power!
We know that woman was made to help man, (not vice versa) and to bow to his authority, to submit, ect. Genisis 2:22 Then the LORD God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man. The man said, "This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh;she shall be called `woman, for she was taken out of man." But as women we have so much more value and responsiblity than mere accesories, as i've heard some people suggesting lately. >Ahem< So here we are. *Smiles*
The word submit is mentioned in the Bible 24 times. Must be somewhat important, eh? Of course not all of them are related, so I will point out the ones that are. I think the point here is pretty obvious. (If a woman has no huspand to submit to, it should be her father, or guardian then.)
Ephesians 5:22-24 Wives, submit to your huspands as to the Lord. For the huspand is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which He is the Saviour. 24 Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their huspands in everything.
Colossians 3:18 Wives, submit to your huspands, as is fitting in the Lord.
1 Corinthians 14:34 Women should remain silent in the churches. They are not allowed to speak, but must be in submission, as the law says.
1Timothy 2:11 A woman should learn in quietness and full submission.
Get the point? Good. Let's move on.
Webster - Submit - verb, to commit to the discretion or decision of another or others. 2 yield, surrender.
1Peter 3:1 Wives, in the same way be submissive to your husbands so that, if any of them do not believe the word, they may be won over without words by the behavior of their wives, when they see the purity and reverence of your lives.
All in a days work...
Proverbs 11:16 A kind-hearted woman gains respect.
Proverbs 11:22 Like a gold ring in a pig's snout is a beautiful woman who shows no discretion.
Proverbs 31:30 Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting;but a woman who fears
1Corinthians 7:2 But since there is so much immorality, each man should have his own wife, and each woman her own husband. 3 The husband should fulfill his marital duty to his wife, and likewise the wife to her husband. 4 The wife's body does not belong to her alone but also to her husband. In the same way, the husband's body does not belong to him alone but also to his wife. 5 Do not deprive each other except by mutual consent and for a time, so that you may devote yourselves to prayer. Then come together again so that Satan will not tempt you because of your lack of self-control.
1Corinthians 7:13 And if a woman has a husband who is not a believer and he is willing to live with her, she must not divorce him. 14 For the unbelieving husband has been sanctified through his wife, and the unbelieving wife has been sanctified through her believing husband. Otherwise your children would be unclean, but as it is, they are holy. 15 But if the unbeliever leaves, let him do so. A believing man or woman is not bound in such circumstances; God has called us to live in peace. 16 How do you know, wife, whether you will save your husband? Or, how do you know, husband, whether you will save your wife?
1Corinthians 11:5 And every woman who prays or prophesies with her head uncovered dishonors her head--it is just as though her head were shaved. 6 If a woman does not cover her head, she should have her hair cut off; and if it is a disgrace for a woman to have her hair cut or shaved off, she should cover her head. 7 A man ought not to cover his head, since he is the image and glory of God; but the woman is the glory of man. 8 For man did not come from woman, but woman from man; 9 neither was man created for woman, but woman for man. 10 For this reason, and because of the angels, the woman ought to have a sign of authority on her head.
1 Timothy 2:12 I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man; she must be silent. 13 For Adam was formed first, then Eve. 14 And Adam was not the one deceived; it was the woman who was deceived and became a sinner. 15 But women will be saved through childbearing--if they continue in faith, love and holiness with propriety.
A woman should...
Be kind hearted.
Be discreet.
Fear the Lord.
Keep her head covered. (Keep her hair long)
Of course there are many more commands for women, but these are the ones that I have found directly related to women.
Be faithful, loving, holy, and quiet.
Live in peace.
Submit her body to her huspand. (Her one and only huspand) *G*
With all the female rights movements happening, and the "progress" feminists have made over the past years, the real idea of a woman has been diminished. Women have been demanding equal rights in all aspects, and in my humble opinion it should have stopped after the right to vote. Most women feel that their place in society is to do as they wish, be it raising their own children alone to a seat in the government. And society has allowed this to happen. The need for men has been nearly extinguished. You can turn to your local sperm bank if a child is the wish, and to pursue a career, many men are willing to stay at home nd raise the kids, ect. More women are stepping up to the pulpits daily, and if a woman isn't hired to a physically demanding job, she can sue. (And let me tell you, i'd much prefer a male officer or firefighter being in charge of my rescue, than a woman who isn't strong enough to carry me!) Women should not be treated as equals to men because they are not equal! Things have really gotten turned around, and the Christian community needs to not only be aware, but to take a step of action.
I could care less if you are insulted, but if you have any questions i'd be happy to answer.

He who finds a wife finds what is good, and receives favor from the Lord.
Proverbs 31:10 -31 A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies. PR 31:11 Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value. PR 31:12 She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life. PR 31:13 She selects wool and flax and works with eager hands. PR 31:14 She is like the merchant ships, bringing her food from afar. PR 31:15 She gets up while it is still dark; she provides food for her family and portions for her servant girls. PR 31:16 She considers a field and buys it; out of her earnings she plants a vineyard. PR 31:17 She sets about her work vigorously; her arms are strong for her tasks. PR 31:18 She sees that her trading is profitable, and her lamp does not go out at night. PR 31:19 In her hand she holds the distaff and grasps the spindle with her fingers. PR 31:20 She opens her arms to the poor and extends her hands to the needy. PR 31:21 When it snows, she has no fear for her household; for all of them are clothed in scarlet. PR 31:22 She makes coverings for her bed; she is clothed in fine linen and purple. PR 31:23 Her husband is respected at the city gate, where he takes his seat among the elders of the land. PR 31:24 She makes linen garments and sells them, and supplies the merchants with sashes. PR 31:25 She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come. PR 31:26 She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue. PR 31:27 She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. PR 31:28 Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: PR 31:29 "Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all." PR 31:30 Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised. PR 31:31 Give her the reward she has earned, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.
