          The annual Queensland Model Hobbies Expo was held on the weekend of the 26th and 27th of August 2000 at the Brisbane Table Tennis Assocation Centre. The club’s display of the wrecking yard drew the younger visitors with its interactive controls. Well done to all the club members that had a hand in making the diorama. As you have probably come to expect from the QMHE the quality of the models on the competition tables was of a high standard. The club was as usual well represented on the competition tables and the results showed in the awards won by club members. Congratulations to all of the winners. I would not even attempt to name everyone. Also of note this year is the perpetual trophy in memory of John Stockley the man behind the Aspley PX who recently passed away. The Darling Downs Model Club of which John was a member won this year’s trophy. 

          This issue includes some photo’s from the QMHE - if anyone has any more that they would like to see in the magazine let me know and we can arrange getting them scanned and put into the next issue. In this issue we also have a fine article by Richard Mackay, as well as the competition results from the June and August club competitions.
