Zoom Telephonics offers a complete line of DOCSIS 1.0 cable modems software upgradable to DOCSIS 1.1. Zoom cable modems feature a low-cost, highly integrated design and software-upgradable Media Access Control. All Zoom cable modems are certified by CableLabs, a highly respected, nonprofit research and development consortium of cable television system operators representing North America and South America. The Model 5011 is Excite@Home Level 2 approved to meet the rigorous interoperability requirements of the @Home network. The @Home network consists of 3.2 million cable modem subscribers representing nearly 60 percent of domestic cable service.
The Zoom Model 5011 is a DOCSIS 1.0 (Data Over Cable Interface Specification) compliant cable modem that is supported by cable systems around the world.
