Foist starts out as a high school project in year 2000, consisting of SAM(drums), PADDY(Bass), and REECE(AXE). After the project ended the guys decided they would start the band. On vocals they recruited Paddy's bro, Danny and then got Ryan to join Reece on the AXE. After a few gigs with the local friend, JAKE on vocals with DADDY, DADDY then left the band.

The line up became of Sam, Reece, Ryan, Jake and Paddy. Who then started pumping out orignal tunes which lead to their frist DEMO "RANDOM NOTES", recorded in FEb 2003 in Melbourne. Foist then concintued ripping it up with no limits playing a series of gigs until the Push battle. Foist battled there way to Melbourne competing at the Push Finals at Luna Park, then being labeled 1 of the top 10 unsigned bands of Victoria, early 2004.

Not long after the finals, Foist had a falling out with Paddy(bass), which resulted in him leaving the band. Then came along the new guy, Josh(AKA Spock), who was invited to join the band on the low end. Now the band is concentrating on the Newer, Harder, Heavier, Funkier materials to record and hit the Melbourne scene.
