The sun bore down on the bodies, each a different size and shape, each belonging to a different type of person. The sky was ice blue, the sun was red hot and the wind was neither cold nor hot, it was a warm breeze. Laughing and screaming of children could be heard for miles away as they ran into the crystal blue ocean water in their swim wear laughing as if they hadn’t been able to laugh in years. Dog’s barked and ran with their owners, chasing other dogs, and chasing footballs down the white sandy beaches. People playing volleyball, men in shorts, women in their bikinis. Sun toned bodies lay out, swam, walked, ran, skated and ate in the hot heat of Hawaii.
Laura was sitting up, leaning on her arms. She was wearing a black two piece swimsuit and her curly brown hair was in a French braid. Her body was tan, tanner then the rest of the guys, Justin’s eyes kept traveling over to her, sizing her up. He couldn’t stop looking at her, in the bikini he was getting frustrated. He knew for a fact he didn’t like her, he was in love with JC, something he had known for years. He hadn’t really given Laura a chance to get into his life. They had been on that Island for five out of seven days, and he would snub her off when she would try and talk to him.
Justin looked over at where JC had once been sitting; he was no longer there. Justin sat up and looked around, trying to find where he had gone. His heart stopped pounding when a wet from head to toe JC came running towards them, his navy blue board shorts sticking to his thighs as he ran in them. A smile formed on Justin’s face, thinking JC was running towards him, it soon disappeared when JC grabbed Laura’s legs and started to pull her towards the water.
“JC! What are you doing!” Laura shrieked in a loud laugh kicking her feet as JC pulled her unwillingly to the luke-warm ocean water.
Justin stood up pulling his vizier lower over his eyes to shield them from the burning sun; he started to walk towards the water, jealous at first, which turned into anger then turned into jealousy again. He knew he shouldn’t jealous of her. He was the one that was supposed to get married to her JC was the one that was supposed to be jealous, yet he was taking it all in like he wasn’t in love with him. Justin stopped at the edge of the water and looked around, he had just seen Laura and JC right here when he was walking out.
Laura’s voice came from Justin’s side and he turned to see her running away from JC laughing and screaming. Justin grabbed Laura’s arm before she had a chance to run past him, JC stopped at the action and looked at Justin. He slowly finished his walk towards them biting his lower lip. He knew that look on Justin’s face, the look he had seen many times when Justin was dating girls; the look of heartache and jealousy.
“What’s going on Justin? Decided to check out the cool, warm ocean and swim and have some fun on this vacation?” JC smiled wiggling his eyebrow’s up and down.
“I need to talk to Laura for a few minutes up in our hotel room. You can come if you want to, that is if you want to see me.” Justin said running his hand down Laura’s arm and grabbing her hand.
Justin pulled Laura off the beach and up to the hotel, which was located on the beached. JC was close behind them, his beanie tight on his hair, and sunglasses keeping his ice blue eyes covered from the dangerous sun.
Laura was the first one to walk into the hotel she was supposed to share with Justin; it was the first time she had been in that hotel room since the first day in Hawaii. She looked around the room; one bed was neatly made while the other bed hadn’t been touched. The blankets were twisted together; one pillow was in the middle while another pillow was leaning up against the headboard.
“I can’t do it.” Justin stated he wasn’t going to lie about it. He couldn’t fake anything any more, he was getting sick of acting like the boy next door he wanted to live his life with the one he loved and he thought he had that, he did have it for two months.
“What are you talking about? You can too do it. Not only can you do it, I’m letting you do it.” JC started walking towards Justin, leaving Laura by the beds.
Justin looked at Laura for a few seconds he hated her to some degree, then liked her to another degree. He and JC had messed up, they promised Johnny and the guys they’d be careful when they were out. They weren’t as careful as they first believed they were when in Mexico. Sure in the photos you could only see Justin’s face, to the rest of the world, he was just kissing some unknown guy. Justin was thankful that they didn’t get JC’s face in the photos.
“We are supposed to get married.” Justin said closing his eyes; he wasn’t one to get emotional in front of anyone besides JC. “What kind of a girl would do this? A slut I tell you, why do you think she is doing this… so she can get the money and have the fame that comes with the name.” Justin added as JC’s arms went around him in a hug.
“She owes Joey, a lot at that and she is doing this for him. She’s known him since she was ten years old and… you don’t do this. It scares me to think that you’ll be tied down, but it isn’t as bad as you think it is. I’m still here, and I’ll always be here.” JC half smiled brushing his lips against Justin’s lips then jaw.
JC pulled out of his hug with Justin and turned to face Laura, she was sitting on the made bed looking at them, she thought Justin was a jerk, with a stick up his ass. She felt guilty for thinking like that; she didn’t know what he was going through. JC motioned for her to come over to them, and she slowly but surely got up off the bed and walked so she was standing a few feet from them. JC grabbed her hand and placed it in Justin’s hand; he looked at both of them and half smiled.
“Get to know each other, kiss make out… have sex, after all you two are getting married.” JC said smiling his famous smile and walking towards the door. Just as Justin was going to say something JC was out of the hotel with the door slammed shut behind him?
The air was stuffy, there wasn’t much leg room, and after all it was an airplane. The heat wasn’t as bad as they flew over the Pacific Ocean and over the states. They stopped in Los Angeles and had a one-hour lay over. The whole time in L.A Justin wanted more then anything to be with JC, hang with him hug him talk with him, but he knew there were reporters lurking around the airport waiting to get a caption on the rumor that he was in fact gay. He held onto Laura’s hand the whole time and every once in a while he’d kiss her, for good measure. He didn’t know how he was going to explain this one to his mother the women who had raised him, the women who had no idea he was gay.
When they arrived in Orlando Florida, it was going on One AM in the morning; the summer night heat almost soaked them with sweat from head to toe. JC gave Justin a quick hug and was soon off in a cab to go to his apartment. Chris, Joey and Lance all gave Justin and Laura a hug and the three of them were off in cabs to go home. People walked around the airport, pilots, flight attendance’s, and normal people paying less for an early flight. Justin took a hold of Laura’s hand and they walked to baggage claim.
“Johnny said that most of your stuff would be at my place by the time we got back from Hawaii.” Justin said as he grabbed their bags off the moving ramp letting go of Laura’s hand.
“Listen, I know you don’t like this whole thing, and when Joey offered me it, I actually thought he was joking. You know Joey, the jokester so I agreed; thinking it was all a joke. I never wanted to push you and JC apart like this. I personally think it’s stupid that you have to act a certain way for your fans. Joey always told me they were possessive, but I didn’t get the whole vibe until I was told about this whole ordeal.” Laura said as they walked out to get a cab.
“You haven’t even seen a piece of what the fans are like. The moment they hear we are getting married you’ll be on the top of their lists of girls to kill.” Justin half smiled as they got into a cab and took off towards Justin’s place.
The cab pulled up and helped them get their bags out, Justin paid the guy and he drove off. Not much was said between the two of them while in the car. Justin felt guilty about having Laura with him at his place, he also felt guilty the whole ride home, because he couldn’t fake them getting married unless they were all over each other, and that was exactly what they were, all over each other in the cab.
“Did you always know you were gay?” Laura asked as she plopped down on the white leather couch. Justin looked at her for a few seconds and decided if he was supposed to spend the rest of his life with her, he better not lie about anything.
“No, I didn’t know I was gay. I mean I knew it was in the back of my mind that I was, but I was in denial, I didn’t know what people would think and I most of all didn’t want my family to hate me.” Justin said sitting down on the couch next to Laura.
“Do they know that you’re gay?” Laura asked, she wanted to see how far into his life he would let her in, she wanted to see if he was just putting up a front or not.
“No, I haven’t told them. I don’t know how to tell them. They think the last person I dated was Britney which was over a few months ago.” Justin bit his bottom lip looking at Laura, her hair was lying on her shoulders and the little light from the lamp was shining off of it.
“So how did you and JC figure out you liked each other with more feelings then just friends? Because you two both act pretty well, I wouldn’t have guessed you were gay for along time. I mean a few times with the way you said names you’d think ‘oh there must be something going on’ but not much more then that.” Laura said licking her bottom lip.
Justin stared at Laura for a few minutes; he hadn’t really been asked so many questions about his and JC’s relationship. He remembered with they told the guys they were gay, and he remembered like it was yesterday how they found out they had feelings for each other.
The rain pounded down on the side of the bus as it swayed driving down the long freeway. The weather had been odd all year, rain when it was supposed to be sunny and hot, snow when it was supposed to be raining and sun when it was supposed to be raining and snowy. Justin closed his eyes and opened them again; he was reading e-mails from fans declaring their love to him. The 19-year-old boy thought it funny that so many girls wanted him, wanted him for his name, the body… and from the e-mails he had been reading they just wanted to have sex with him. He had always had trouble with girls, he didn’t know what they wanted, or why they acted like he was the worst thing on the face of the earth. Quite frankly he was getting sick of all his so called girlfriends, they would either get him in bed then break up with him, or get him in bed and diss the way he performed.
Justin looked up when he heard movement from in front of him. JC walked into the front area of the bus, wearing green boxer-briefs, and no shirt. His short hair was messed up going every which way on the top of his head. What shocked Justin the most was how he couldn’t take his eyes off his best friend? He then wished he was sharing the bus with Chris or Joey or Lance, anyone but JC. They had a thing, three buses on the tour, two guys got to share one, and the other three got to be on the other, where the third bus had family members, friends on it. This time he and JC were sharing a bus together, something they both didn’t think twice about, they had been friends for seven years.
“What you doing?” JC asked reaching behind him and grabbing a bag of chips.
Justin looked at him for a few seconds before he looked back down at his laptop and read the e-mail some girl from Portland Oregon sent him.
“Dearest Justin Timberlake, hello my name is Madeline Smith, I’m a 17 year old honor student… I was e-mailing you to see if this was your real e- mail address and also to ask if I could be the mother of your child. I have curly blonde hair and blue eyes, and I believe that our kids would look so beautiful. Well hit me back with an e-mail or call me.” Justin read a loud.
He closed the laptop and looked up at JC, he had a smile on his face, and that smile that he was giving Justin was slightly turning him on. JC started to mock the girl from the e-mail as he stuffed another hand full of chips in his mouth.
Justin watched JC’s hand move up to his mouth and back down, he licked his lips and closed his eyes. With every will in his body he stood up and moved to the couch. This wasn’t happening now, not now this way, Justin kept saying in his head. He thought maybe he was BI-sexual, because he would get turned on by some hot guys, and then other hot guys wouldn’t do anything for him, but this, what was taking place now was the first time he felt anything.
“You want some chips?” JC asked, Justin looked up and noticed him sitting on the opposite couch in front of him holding out the bag of chips.
“No, that’s okay…” Justin trailed off, his eyes kept wondering over JC’s body
“Are you sure, they taste great, salty, not to hard not to soft. Prefect just how you like them.” JC said a hint of a smile on his face as he held the bag out closer to Justin.
Justin closed his eyes and said a few words under his breath, he was going to push the limit of his friend ship with JC and he wasn’t even going to ask. Justin opened his eyes and turned his head, JC was standing there with the bag of chips in his hand, he was about to walk into the kitchen and put them away but Justin stopped him. Justin grabbed his left leg and stopped JC from walking any further then he could.
JC turned around and faced Justin, at that moment Justin knew it was okay, he could see the lust and desire flowing out of JC’s eyes and body. Justin stood up quickly and brushed his lips against JC’s lips in a short and un- satisfying kiss. JC tilted his head to deepen the contact between the two men.
Laura looked at Justin; he was looking down at the ground chewing on his bottom lip. She was still trying to get the full picture of what Justin had just told her.
“So that is kind of how we knew, we knew in our minds and hearts but it took…. I don’t know it’s hard to explain really.” Justin rambled on until Laura placed her hand on his leg.
“Justin it’s okay you don’t have to explain your feelings for JC to me. Really, you don’t have too.” Laura assured her self as well as Justin.
“I don’t get it though, the guys they are trying to push Josh and me away from each other. It’s like they don’t like the fact we are what we are…” Justin started but stopped when Laura brushed her lips against Justin’s.
“How many girls have you been with?” Laura asked her breath getting heavy
“Quite a few, a lot actually. I’d say 20 girls, since I got famous with *NSYNC, I know that may not sound a lot, but I’m only counting the girls I dated for a few months or weeks… or days…” Justin stopped when Laura started to kiss his jaw.
“And how many guys have you been with?” She asked looking up at Justin her hazel brown eyes like fire.
“UH… one, just one… Josh…. Is my love… my…” Justin stopped talking the moment Laura pulled at the buttons on his pants pulling them down so that he was sitting in his boxers and shirt.
“And who wears the pants in the relationship, you or JC?” Laura asked turning around and sitting on his lap, she leaned back against him and ran her hand around his neck, to play with his hair.
“We…both, wear the pants… but… I… I’m… I’m the one that is… is more…oh god, more emotional.” Justin choked out; he needed to get his mind on something other then the girl grinding her ass into his crotch.
He felt guilty that he liked what she was doing, he felt like he was going to break JC’s heart in half if JC ever found out what she had did the day they got back from Hawaii. He felt so bad, and guilty that he was enjoying it and the more he enjoyed what she was doing to him, the more he felt guilty.
He knew he was going to either regret doing this when he woke up in the morning, or regret telling JC what they did. Either way he was going to regret something, but he hadn’t lied to JC about anything the past 3 years they have been together, and he wasn’t going to start now, just because of some new girl.
