Chapter Sixteen

Sarah sat on an old mattress in a cold, drafty white painted room. Her hands were chained to her legs, the chains only long enough for her to stand up straight and walked in a full five-foot circle. Her hair was a mess as were the clothes she had on. She had been locked in that room for what seemed like years to her, only it was two days. Gavin would bring her food so she could eat, which she didn’t eat. Sarah wasn’t sure if he had put some type of drug in it or not.

Her face was tear stained, her eyes red and swollen, from lack of sleep and crying. Sarah could hear Gavin walking around out side the door. Light from out side the door would stream in and she could hear people talking and laughing that is until nighttime came. Why couldn’t they hear her? Was what Sarah kept asking her self, she would scream at the top of her lunges, yet no one heard her?

Gavin had taken her cell phone, money, jewelry the day he kidnapped her. Why hadn’t he called and asked for money? Was another thing that ran through her mind? She had been locked up in a room for two days, and no one was looking for her. What were they doing? Laughing away, having fun? Sarah’s mind kept running through pictures of everyone laughing and having fun.

Tears started to run down her face when the memory of Justin trying to get her when Gavin first took her played in her mind. He was trying to get her, he wanted to get her, he was beating him self, up. Sarah knew Justin was beating him self up in side, she knew he was blaming him self for what happened.

Tears started to flow from her eyes as the door opened and in walked Gavin, this time with no food for her to eat. Sarah stood up and walked as far backwards as she could to get away from him.

“Why you backing away Angel?” Gavin asked walking towards her.

With his left hand, Gavin grabbed Sarah by the arm and pulled her towards him. Her heart was pounding a zillion beats a minute, what was he going to do to her, his own daughter.

“Please, don’t hurt me Gavin, please.” Sarah choked out as Gavin’s right hand went into her hair.

A smile on his face the whole time pulling her hair back so she was looking up. Running his left hand down her arm and to the bottom of her shirt, his smile never left his face.

“I’m only giving you what you deserve.” Gavin said with laughter behind his words.

“Please, I’m your daughter, please don’t.” Sarah cried out making Gavin stop what he was doing. His hand left the bottom of her shirt and went across her face.

Gavin threw Sarah down to the ground; he then squatted so he was eye level with her.

“My daughter? I think about that every day. Your mother was a whore, a slut. For all I know you could be the milk mans daughter. She had so many boyfriends. Why the hell do you think I left her? She deserved to die; she had cancer Angel, Cancer because she fucked so many guys in her lifetime.” Gavin said with a bitter laugh.

“I’m not her, Gavin, I’m not her, I’m Sarah… not my mom.” Sarah’s voice was weak.

“You are just like her!” Gavin yelled standing up, he began to pace around the small empty room. “Sluts, in my book look just like you.” Gavin added as he walked towards her again, squatting to look at Sarah.

“Gavin, I’m not Sasha, I only lived with her for less then 2 years of my life! How can I be just like her?” Sarah asked tears running down her face, she was trying to get him to not touch her. She wanted to stall time as much as she could.

“You little tramp, I can see it in your face. You’ve fucked your boy band boyfriend. Sure hope you enjoyed it, because you’ll never see him again.” Gavin snorted grabbing Sarah’s left leg only to be met with her right leg in his face.

Gavin stumbled backwards and fell hard on his butt. His eyes filled with anger as he stood up and grabbed Sarah by the hair. With his free hand he reached in his pocket and grabbed out the keys. The keys to unlock her chains, to let her free. Sarah took a deep breath and let it out slowly; she closed her eyes and swung her arms to her side. With all her might she threw her arms towards Gavin knocking him in the face, chain and all.

Sarah opened her eyes to see Gavin lying on the ground, blood seeping from the corner of his mouth. Tears were running down her face even more as she reached for the key lying on the floor. She wanted to scream out loud, the key was just a few inches to far away for her. No matter what she tried she couldn’t reach it, Sarah lay down on her stomach and brought hands as far forward as she could.

The chains that were hooked on her ankles started to dig into the skin as she reached and reached to grab the key. She didn’t know how long he was going to stay knocked out. High pitched screams left her mouth as the chains dug even deeper into her ankles, sobbing she was able to reach the keys.

Sarah’s hands were shaking as she pulled back and started to unlock the chains bounding her to the bedroom, and bed. Pulling the chains off, Sarah looked up, meeting with Gavin’s hand slapping her across the face.

“You fucking bitch!” Gavin yelled out grabbing Sarah by the hair.

Gavin pulled her out of the room one hand in her hair the other hand holding her arms behind her back. Tears were running down her face, high pitch noise was leaving her mouth as he pushed her roughly down on to the wet muddy ground.

“Please, don’t Gavin PLEASE!” Sarah screamed kicking mud trying to crawl away from him.

Gavin grabbed Sarah and flipped her over onto her back; his eyes were as black as the blackest night, and as evil as the evilest person in the world. Anger poured out of them as he ripped the shirt Sarah had on off of her.

Gavin ran his hand up and down her body while with his other hand pulled her hands above her head. Sarah’s heart beat and breathing was getting faster and faster, she had no more tears to let run down her face. Taking a deep breath, Sarah let out the loudest scream she could possible make in her small, tired, weak body. A scream that was going to help her out in every way possible, with the scream came, a kick. Sarah brought her knee up, which was met with Gavin’s body.

Gavin fell to his side releasing Sarah from his hands. Sarah kicked at him again as she scrambled to her feet and ran into as fast as she could to the neighbors house. Mud dripping off of her clothes and hair, she pounded her fist into the door. Never taking her eyes off of Gavin.

“Please, help me PLEASE!” Sarah kept yelling as she pounded on the door even more. A few seconds later a man pulled open the door and looked at her. “Please, help me please…” Was all Sarah got out before she started to fall to the ground.

The man picked her up and carried her into the house. Having his wife put towels on the cough he placed her on the couch and quickly dialed 911.
