Epilogue

Little kids all ran around the house, laughing, screaming, and yelling at each other. Karen sat in the bathroom with her daughter Sarah who had been crying the last hour for no reason at all. She said it was just the moods from being pregnant. Karen knew it was more than that, she knew Sarah was afraid of being married, afraid that it wasn’t going to go as planned. After all she was pregnant with two babies to the man she had loved for more years than she ever wanted to tell any one.

JC was running after two of the little kids that were running around the house, Tyler and Taylor. He wasn’t doing very well at taking care of them. He had to give Adrea credit for working and taking care of them. The moment he thought he was doing a good job, Karen would come out of the bathroom and yell at him for not doing a better job. Adrea was supposed to be back from New York City over an hour ago, her plane was delayed and she wouldn’t be able to get there until later.

The worst thing that was happening at the moment was Joey and Lance had taken Justin some place the night before and they hadn’t showed back up to Lynn’s place yet. The groom was missing in action while the bride sat in her bathroom crying her eyes out, messing her make up that took two hours to apply. Karen made sure she didn’t mess up her two hundred-dollar-hair. That would be a slight set back, considering it took three hours to do.

Karen thought things were going to get worse, she was praying that something would happen and help them out. Her prayers were answered when Adrea walked in the front door, sun glasses covering her eyes wearing sweat pants and one of JC’s old sweat shirts. Tyler and Taylor attacked her and wouldn’t let her get passed the front door. JC finally took care of them.

“About time you got her. Sarah is in the bathroom, has been the past hour and has been crying. Mom can’t seem to get her to stop. Maybe you can talk to her about THINGS.” JC kissed Adrea softly on the lips while holding Taylor.

“I tried to get here as fast as I could. You’d think since it’s summer time, that New York would have some nice weather, it was storming so bad up there.” Adrea half smiled as she walked down the hall towards the bathroom. She knocked twice before she pushed open the door and looked in.

Sarah was sitting on the edge of the tub in a robe crying into a towel. Karen was sitting on the toilet trying to calm her daughter down.

“Sarah, don’t cry.” Adrea said walking the rest of the way in and taking Sarah into a hug

“Dre, when did you get here?” Sarah sniffled into Adrea’s sweater.

“I just got here, why aren’t you in your wedding dress? I know it fits you unless you gained about a million pounds in three weeks. The wedding starts in two hours. Look at your face!” Adrea half laughed looking at Sarah’s face. Her makeup was completely messed up the black mascara made marks down her face. “What’s wrong sweety?” Adrea added as Karen got up and left the bathroom, off to help JC with the kids.

“Nothing, except for the fact that Joey and Lance went out last night with Justin and I haven’t heard from him since he left last night. Lynn hasn’t seen him; no one has seen them at all. He is supposed to be at his mothers getting ready with the rest of them. I look like a fat whale; I don’t even know what Justin sees in me. I mean LOOK at me!” Sarah cried standing up and looking at her self in the full-length mirror.

“You don’t look like a fat whale, and Justin loves you. He has forever and a day, don’t cry because you think you’re fat. You aren’t fat; you are pregnant, with not just one baby two babies. You are going to look big. I know you aren’t as far along as most pregnant ladies are when they are as big as you, but you have to remember I was bigger than you and I never called my self a fat whale. I called my self a big cow, only to have JC moo at me.” Adrea smiled as Sarah laughed.

“I didn’t think you were going to make it.” Sarah sniffled a few more times before sitting back down where she had been sitting when Adrea walked in the bathroom.

“I told you I was going to make it, and look I’m here, and I made it. Now we have to get your makeup fixed… my hair and make up done, and our dresses on. I just saw Amanda and Brittany and Kelly, they look good in the dresses. They are trying to help JC with the kids. I don’t know where Hailee or Jon is…”

“Hailee has I’m sure slept with Jonathan more than I’ve slept with Justin…” Sarah cut Adrea off.

“What? Why would you say that… did you, did they… were they…” Adrea trailed off helping Sarah clean the makeup off of her face with out messing her hair up.

“Justin was freaking out. I mean Lisa and Randy weren’t here yet, they just got back yesterday. So Jon was still staying over at our place. Hailee was complaining about having to sleep on the couch because of all the family members staying at your place so she came over. She was left in the guestroom and Jon was in his guestroom. Yeah, Justin flipped a lid, and I nearly killed Jon. I mean just when I’m about to get satisfied Justin hears a damn door open. That’s not the first time, damn my hormones. If I were a beached whale you wouldn’t have a daughter and Justin would have that brother of his.” Sarah smirked as Adrea started to fix her makeup.

“You were worse than me, I didn’t even want JC to touch me when I was pregnant. It seemed like every time he touched me I would throw up. I think it was the way he smells, still he’ll smell a weird way and it’ll make me gag.” Adrea shrugged her shoulders with a slight laugh.

“JC just smells anyway, I lived with him for so many years, I’m surprised you can even stand to sleep next to him at night.” Sarah giggled over the knocking at the bathroom door.

JC peak his head in to the bathroom and looked at Sarah and Adrea. They were laughing about him, the way he smelled. He cleared his throat loudly and moved the door open a little more.

“Now that I found out I smell, we need to get over to the church. Have you seen Jonathan or Hailee?” JC asked raising his eyebrows.

“I swear if they ruin my wedding Hailee and Jon are both going to be six feet under when I’m through with them.” Sarah stormed out of the bathroom and up the stairs as fast as she could.

Sarah pushed open Hailee’s bedroom door and pulled them both out by their arms. Saying every other curse word in the book and some made up ones. Karen was already gone, she took the wedding dress to the church, that way Sarah could finish getting ready there just in case Justin showed up at the same time Sarah did, he wouldn’t see the dress on her.

They each piled into cars and drove over to the church. Sarah along with the brides’ maids and Adrea all went down stairs in to one of the rooms of the church to finish getting ready.

Finally the moment had come and they were all in line getting ready to walk. Sarah’s heart was pounding, she hadn’t seen Justin since the night before and wasn’t sure if he even arrived. She knew he was there or Lynn wouldn’t be looking as happy as she was looking and he father would be holding her hand, while she held his for dear life.

Roy looked down at his baby, a smile on his face as they began to walk towards Justin. Sarah’s face was behind her vale her smile was as big as one smile could get. Justin was standing looking at her, his eyes sparkling with happiness, his bottom lip sucked into his mouth where his teeth were nawing on it. Her heart started to flutter and pound faster than she had ever felt it pound in her whole life.

The next thing Sarah really heard after taking Justin’s hands and her father giving her to him was saying I do and putting the rings on each other’s fingers. The kiss was a short but sweet, which Sarah didn’t want to end; it was their first kiss as Sarah and Justin Timberlake. Sarah wanted the kiss to last forever and a day.

They hadn’t danced with each other yet, they did the usually dancing with family members when it was time for their first dance, and “hero” started to play. Sarah’s smile grew bigger as Justin held her as close as he could do to the fact that she was pregnant and as big as a ‘whale’ in other words.

It was their day, and it went by perfect, almost too perfect but perfect nonetheless. Nothing out of the norm happened.
