Chapter 3
More To You
Chapter Three
Justin watched as the clock on the bedside table turned from five am to six
am to seven am. He hadn't been able to go to sleep the rest of the night;
JC's worlds kept replaying in his head. He didn't know if JC was going to
have Shay sent back to Orlando or not, he wasn't sure why it was bothering
him so much if she did leave. He did have it harder than the rest of the
guys, not too much harder, yet harder even so. He was called the baby of
the group, the heartthrob of the group, the guy everyone wanted to be and
everyone wanted to hate. He knew the others could go out and be normal
guys, and he knew it was hard for them to act normal, but it seemed harder
for him.
His mind went blank and he closed his eyes when he heard Shay's voice as
the hotel door pushed open.
"Yes, Mrs. Harless, I tried several times yesterday, both yours and
your husbands cell phone were turned off." Shay noted into Justin's cell
phone.
Justin moved his head and looked at her for the first time since he slammed
her against the door. She looked like she got barely enough sleep, her hair
was down laying across her shoulders almost hugging her face making her
look young, younger than she usually looks with her hair pulled up
everyday.
"Do you want me to have him call you after he gets up?" Shay asked
stopping a yawn that was trying to get out walking over to the night stand
in between the two beds where she sat down a cup of coffee. "Yes I
understand that you hardly ever get to see Justin any more, but there isn't
anything I can do while he is asleep, and he doesn't want woke up for
another twenty minutes. Mrs. Harless. Lynn I'll have him call you the
minute he wakes up. Okay, bye." Shay sighed hanging up the phone.
Shay looked around the room, her eyes landing on Justin who was still to
her knowledge sound asleep. She was about to stand up from the spot on the
bed she was at to wake Justin up when a melody started to buzz through the
air. She grabbed her purse and dug through it, not wanting Justin to wake
up to the sound of her cell phone.
"Hello, Shay Addison speaking." Shay half sighed looking over to see
if Justin had awoken. He hadn't even gone to sleep, but she didn't have to
know that. Justin wasn't going to show any signs to her, he wanted to know
who was calling, even though it wasn't his business.
"You sound like a business woman Raylee." The voice laughed
"Mom. what are you doing calling me?" Shay asked in a hushed voice
standing up and walking towards the window keeping her eye on Justin who
turned over onto his side facing her.
"I called to wish my oldest daughter a sweet and happy birthday."
Shay's mom smiled into the phone at work.
"Mom, it's not for another two days." Shay sighed biting her lower
lip wishing her mom would talk not so loud.
Justin opened one eye and looked at Shay, she looked like she was about to
cry over what was being said on the phone.
"You've been working for him for three years, and he hasn't asked you
out on a date yet." Her mother was one to butt into other people's personal
relationships.
"Mom, he is my boss, it doesn't work like that." Shay let out a laugh
sitting down on the bed her back to Justin.
He was her life; she even had to talk about him to her mother of all
people. Shay groaned a little as she looked at her watch.
"Then how does it work sweety? I'm not getting any younger, and
neither are you. I'm sure your sisters would love to be aunts." Her mother
laughed over the line.
"He says jump, I ask how high. That is how it works mom. I'm only
twenty I don't even want kids. I'm not even sleeping with him, like I said
he is my boss why must you turn every little thing into sex. If you want me
to have kids so bad, than find me a NICE guy, who cares about the looks."
Shay rolled her neck standing up and looking out the window. She knew she
shouldn't be on the phone and talking to her mom about this, but she
couldn't just hang up on the woman that gave her life.
"That Justin guy has great looks, and from what I've seen on TV he is
a nice person too."
"God mom, Justin is not what he seems on TV. He's a different person
when the cameras aren't on him, and if you think he is so good looking why
don't you sleep with him, or is that too weird for you? I mean, you could
get Rain to sleep with him, but she is only twelve." Shay took a deep
breath and looked at her watch again, it was going on seven-thirty. "Listen
mom, I have to go and wake Mr. Timberlake up now, So call me when it is my
birthday not days before it. I do answer my own calls unlike other people."
Shay added turning around and looking at Justin who was still facing her
with his eyes closed, his breathing hadn't changed since the last time she
looked at him.
"How do you know he is still sleeping?"
"Because mom, I'm standing in his hotel room with a pair of his
boxers on." Shay laughed to her self, "I'm joking, because I'm in his hotel
room I was about to wake him up but you called and talked to me, he is
going to be pissed that he didn't get up when he wanted. I'll talk to you
later." Shay added hanging up her phone and walking around the beds.
She sat down next to Justin's stomach and turned on the lamp beside the
bed; she still wasn't used to getting him up, each time he reacted
differently. Some times he was nice and smiled at her, other times he bit
her head off and snapped at her, other times he wouldn't say anything at
all. Each time she'd wake him up differently, so it didn't shock her that
he'd wake up with a different reaction.
Shay touched his shoulder and pushed hard making his whole body move away
from her and towards the middle of the bed. Shay rolled her eyes as she
moved on the bed so that she was on her knees with both hands on each of
his shoulders where she shook him a few times. Until she was caught in his
arms as he moved lying across her midsection with his head on her chest.
"Get off me you prick." Shay snapped taking a hand full of curls and
pulling them back so his head was pulled off her chest.
"Good morning Ms. Addison, have you gained weight?" Justin asked
sitting up taking her legs and moving them off of his lap.
"Get in the shower, it's seven-thirty." Shay said getting up and
walking around the bed so she could grab her purse.
"You're twenty minutes late." Justin glared pushing the covers off of
his body showing that he was wearing only boxers.
"And you smell Mr. Timberlake. Get in the shower breakfast is any
time before ten." Shay sighed grabbing the hotel door.
"Do you always talk to your mom about my boxers and sex?" Justin
asked walking closer to her as he put his hand on the door.
"Do you always smell this bad in the morning?" Shay glared trying to
pull the door open, with no success.
Justin reached out and touched her hair, running his hand through it. A
smile forming on his lips as he leaned his head down. "This is new, it
makes you look like you've gained weight. Trying to impress Joey?" Justin
whispered in her ear as he removed his hand from her hair.
"Smells like you are, get away from me." She hissed pushing him with
her shoulder and pulling open the door to leave.
The wind was blowing hard out side the Tacoma Dome fans had been standing
around talking to radio stations since noon. The sun was shining but wasn't
felt due to the fact that the wind was testing the teenage girls with
hardly anything on.
The guys were all sitting around playing video games and eating food,
trying to keep their minds off the concert. The Oregon show happened
perfect and the crowd loved them, of course they loved them, *NSYNC hadn't
been to that state in over a year for a concert, the same with Washington
State.
Justin looked over at Shay, who as on the phone with his mother making up
something about why her son couldn't come to the phone at that time, a
smile formed on his lips when he noticed that her hair was pulled up like
it usually was. He knew than that he had some kind of sick power over her,
he noticed that she hadn't ate dinner that night either which was something
knew, she always seemed to be stuffing her face with food when ever she
could.
"Shay, we need to see you out side for a few minutes." Erik said
stepping into the room making Justin jump up from where he was eating food
and walk towards her and Erik.
"What's going on?" Justin asked taking his phone and stuffing it in
his sweater.
"Shay you need to help the tour out, Ronnie, his wife went into
labor, so he is on a plane back to Florida. Ronnie usually goes out side
and brings the fans inside that have backstage passes and shows them
around. We need you to do it just for tonight." Erik said not even looking
at Justin
"I don't think so, she doesn't work for Jive or any other person
around here besides me. She's not doing it." Justin stated following both
of them outside the room.
"Justin chill, she'll be back in half an hour." Erik grinned putting
his hands on both sides of her shoulders and pushed her away, walking
behind her.
"What the hell!" Justin yelled storming back into the room the rest
of the guys were in and slamming the door shut.
Of course no one paid him any attention; they were used to him acting like
a baby especially when Shay was out of site for more than five minutes. And
at that moment, Justin's mind started to tick and work away at something
anything. He was actually zoned into Shay when she was on the phone with
her mother, he noticed that she had a happy voice so to speak when she was
talking to her even when it was about him. The guy that made her life a
living hell, and he was interested in getting to know that Shay, not the
one that he knew for three years.
He didn't know her mother, hadn't met her at all in all the three years
that she worked for him. Justin didn't even know she had siblings, he
actually didn't care until that morning.
Half way through the tour she was giving her cell phone started to ring,
most of the fans she was showing the backstage area off to were around her
age, some were way younger, and one or two were older than Chris. Shay
stopped and smiled at each of the fifty fans that were by her.
"Sorry, hold on." She said half embarrassed as she clicked on her
phone. "Shay Addison speaking."
"Shay."
"What do you want?" Shay asked through gritted teeth faking a smile
at the fans as she handing her phone to one of the girls not wanting to
deal with him. "Here talk to him." She added taking a deep breath.
"What do I want? What the hell do you think I want Shay?" Justin's
voice snapped over the other end before he took a deep breath and let it
out slowly.
"Shay took a stroll, she'll be back in a few hours." The girl smirked
knowing it was Justin Timberlake of *NSYNC on the other end of the line.
She looked up at Shay who was talking to the rest of the fans; pointing out
things and showing them what went on.
"Who the hell is this?" Justin asked standing up and pulling open the
door to get out of the room. "And where the hell did Shay go?" Justin added
looking down one part of the hall and turning his head to see the group of
fans and Shay making their way around the corner out of site.
"The question is, who the hell are you, and why do you want Shay so
badly. It's obvious she doesn't want to deal with you at the moment while
she works." The girl giggled taking notice to the looks she was getting
from the other fans.
"Turn around." Justin hissed into the phone watching each girl, his
eyes caught notice of the girl with a cell phone who turned around when he
told her too.
Justin had walked down the hall and was half way to the group when he told
her to turn around, which caused them all to stop Shay as well. Each fan
turned around and looked at Justin who was putting his phone away and
walking towards them.
"Stay right here, don't move you guys." Shay said as she moved passed
the group and towards Justin. "Mr. Timberlake aren't you supposed to be in
some sort of room with the rest of *NSYNC?" Shay glared stopping a few feet
in front of him.
"Where the hell is your phone?" Justin hissed grabbing Shay's arm and
pulling her a little more closely to him.
"Let me go." Shay's voice was just above a whisper; she didn't want
to cause a scene in front of the fifty fans that won backstage passes from
radio stations.
"You work for me, and you are coming back to the room with me. Where
is your cell phone?" Justin snapped raising his voice the more he talked
"I'm on a break, now leave me alone." Shay's voice was still just
above a whisper as she pushed him away and walked back to the front of the
group. "Let's go we only have a few more minutes before you have to go back
outside and wait for the doors to open." She sighed looking at Justin who
was still standing there looking at her.
"Are you dating Justin?" One of the younger fans asked, they always
were blunter than the older ones.
"NO, Justin is my boss. I'm his personal assistant." Shay half smiled
rubbing at the arm Justin grabbed a hold of.
"What's the deal with him? He was freaking out because you weren't on
the phone and I was." The girl who was still holding her cell phone asked.
"Justin is a big baby, who needs the shit kicked out of him. Anyone
care to do it for me?" Shay laughed when a few girls raised their hands,
even a few guys.
"Not to get to personal, but has he ever hit you?" One of the older
fans asked causing Shay to stop in her tracks.
"No, if he ever hit me, he wouldn't still be breathing on his own."
Shay grinned as they made their way towards the stage.
Just as Shay was about to open the door, Justin who grabbed her arm and
started to pull her away from the room opened it. "What are you doing?"
Shay asked trying to pull away from Justin.
"Showing you something." Justin stated still holding her arm tightly
as he dragged her behind him and out the arena doors in to a parking lot.
"There is only two hours before show time, aren't you supposed to be
getting makeup put on your ugly face so you won't scare the kids in the
front row?" Shay glared yanking her arm out of Justin's hands.
She turned around and was about to run only to have Justin's arms go around
her waist and pull her up against his body. "Stop causing a scene and shut
up for once." Justin hissed still holding her to his body as he made his
way the gate where some guards were keeping the fans out from the backstage
parking lot.
"If you don't let me go, I'll make it so that you'll never be able to
have kids." Shay's voice was low as Justin and her walked passed a few
guards to a yellow cab that was sitting there waiting for them.
Justin pushed Shay into the car and closed the door. Before she could even
try to get out the cab was already moving.
"Calm down." Justin's voice didn't reflect any kind of emotion as
they pulled on to the highway going towards SeaTac.
"This is kidnapping Mr. Timberlake and don't think I'm afraid to call
the cops." Shay's voice trailed off when Justin put his hand over her
mouth.
Justin took a deep breath and looked out the side window than the front
window, they were pulling up to the airline and the car was slowing down.
"Smile, even if you don't want to." Justin breathed out as he open the door
and pulled Shay out by the hand, he looked behind the cab and noticed Erik
was in a van on his cell phone glaring at him. Justin pulled some money out
of his pocket and paid the cab, knowing that the van would take them back
to the arena.
"What are we doing at an airport? Are you sending me home, please be
sending me away from you." Shay glared and smiled at a few people who
pointed towards Justin.
Erik was behind them, while another security guard drove the van around
waiting for them to get back. They stopped in front of a TV showing which
flights were getting in, which flights were late, and which ones were in.
Shay was clue less as to why they were at the airport and why she even had
to be there for it.
"If we are here to pick up that whore Britney than I'm leaving." Shay
snapped about to turn around only to have Justin grab her hand and pull her
with him.
"One she isn't a whore I'm the only man she's slept with, and two you
aren't going anywhere Ms. Addison." Justin smirked as they stopped in front
of a gate that was unloading passengers from Florida.
Shay tapped her foot with her arms across her chest; she didn't have a clue
as to why they were at there, and whom they were waiting for. She was going
to say something to the man comment Justin had made but her train of
thought was lost when she saw a young teen age girl with dark brown curly
hair walk out of the gate. A real smile formed on Shay's face as she pulled
her hand away from Justin's and ran to the girl.
"Bo!" Shay smiled pulling her thirteen-year-old sister into a tight
hug.
"Raylee, you are squeezing me to tight, let go." Rain laughed as Shay
let go of her only to pull her back into a hug.
Shay looked up at Justin and Erik; Erik was smiling and talking to Justin.
Justin was looking at her and her sister a smile on his face. "How did
you."
"Justin got me a flight today, it took off at six. I'm going to be
here for a week!" Rain smiled as Shay took her hand pulling her towards
baggage claim
