Thank you Daddy,
For not beating us or our Mother;
For not being an alcoholic;
For always trying to set a good example.

Thank you Daddy,
For making us go to church;
For teaching us not to argue religion or politics.

Thank you Daddy,
For coming home from work
And playing whiffle ball or badminton with us;
For teaching me how to cook;
And for teaching us all to never give up.

Thank you Daddy,
For the endless hours of listening
To me practice my singing;
And telling me I could be a star.

Most of all,
Thank you Lord,
For making him my Daddy.
