THIS IS JAKE AND KATIE!!

Tulip line

Pictured above are Jake and Katie. We got Katie when she/he was 6 weeks old. She was part seal tip and Himalayan. A real beauty. What!?! Oh!! Why did I say she/he? *LOL* Well the breeder we bought Katie from sold her as her last female. It was obvious she had an eye infection and she needed shots as well as a good check up to make sure she was healthy, so we took her to our vet who pronounced "HER" a healthy specimen. Now I know how to tell if an animal is a male or a female but I just figured the breeder and the vet could too, so we named her Katie *LOL* When she was about 7 months old a friend pointed out that she was a "HE"!! Well we had called her Katie for that long and we had her neutered, so he basically became a she *LOL*

Jake became part of our family when he was 10 weeks old!! It was funny, he was younger than Katie, but already twice Katie's size!! Jake was 1/2 shepherd and Sharpei. He looked mostly like a Sharpei and had a wrinkled face. He was very smart and learned quickly. He was house broken from the moment I brought him home!! He was very loving and protective!! At night when I headed for bed he followed me and went to his bed *S* His best friend and playmate, ARE YOU READY FOR THIS!!, was Katie my Siameze cat!! They slept and ate together. Katie loved to knock things down for Jake to chew. I think she was a typical sibling and loved to see him get into trouble. *LOL* Their favorite game was chase!! First you'd see Jake chase Katie down the hall to our bedroom, then you'd hear a yelp and see Katie chase Jake back down the hall!!

Jake became too protective!! He got to be almost uncontrollable when anyone stopped by!! He would growl and go after our friends and even began growling at Doodle!! Afraid he might mame or kill our son we put Jake outside in a dog run. We realized that wasn't fair to Jake, who was used to being part of a family, so we ran an ad in our local paper. We gave him to a good home!!

Katie *sigh* was friend and playmate for 5 years!! She never had the chance to miss Jake!! Doodle took up where Jake left off!! They played chase and Katie went for rides in my laundry basket!! Doodle would tie his daddy's house coat belt to my laundry basket, put his "pooh" (Doodle talk for pillow) in and put Katie in. Then they were off!! Katie actually stayed in the basket while Doodle dragged it all over the house!! Katie welcomed each of our next two sons into her family. She good naturedly sat there while they each learned how to pet the kitty!! She was even a good sport about being carried upside down through the house!! Katie was always up for a good game of chase. In some ways she seemed almost human, as I watched how she seemingly nurtured their little egos by letting them win most the time!! Then unexpectedly the first week of school for Doodle, Katie passed away!!

We love animals and the house just didn't the same without at least one furry child!! We went to the ASPCA and fell in love with a little cocker spaniel puppy that had been badly neglected!! He had been left tied up so long his collar had embedded in his neck and apparently had been fed just enough to keep him alive because he was so skinny!! A month later he is a healthy little boy that loves his new family!! I dropped him off with the vet for his shots, a good checkup and to be neutered 2 days after we got him!! I cried all the way home because I was afraid he'd think he'd been abandoned!! When I picked him up later that day the vet told me we got a good pup!! She said he appeared to be a pure breed and was sound overall, just needed lots of love and TLC!! Our newest furry son is named Copper (another red head) and he is so smart!! He plays fetch, lays down on command and best of all....loves to play chase!! Hopefully, I'll have a picture of him to share with you soon

*LOL* I guess my cyber cat got tired of me working on my page!! *waving* Bye-bye!! Got to go while I still have some of my computer left!! OK kitty!! *trying to push her head out of the monitor* I'm through!!
