Me and Johnny

I'm Sandy, the wife of Johnny. He, along with his twin sister, Bonnie is the baby of the family. Of course, they deny that they were the most spoiled, but we know better....don't we?

We live in the baby state.....Arizona, of warm climate and many cactus, and oh yes, Gila Monsters! Though they aren't really monsters, as Charlotte can attest......

Johnny drives a truck for a local construction company, hauling asphalt and dirty rocks and stuff. I'm a Microsoft Engineer. We have four of the most beautiful and delightful (well, delightful after they passed that sweet age of adolescence) children that you've ever known.

Kimberly ~ Our first-born, though she won't let me state her age here, (which is just fine with me) is a military wife who spends her free time decorating. She's a whiz at that kind of stuff! Of course, now that she's got baby Jacob, the only thing she's decorating is the nursery. Grandbaby #6 born January 9, 2000.

Kim and (Marine) hubby David reside in lovely North Carolina. Much much too far away for her mother, especially after that new little grandbaby's arrival on the scene. How's a "new " baby suppose to function without Nana... Sheez!

Matthew ~ Our second child, and firstborn son, is a Purchasing Agent for a local Plumbing supply. (A trade which the Navy taught him well, among other more useless things.) No, he doesn't have any tattoos. Matt loves hunting and fishing and all kinds of sports and he never calls his mother as often as he should.

Shane ~ Our third child, and second son, is a plumber. He installs new pipes, hot water heaters, tubs, sinks (all those modern conveniences we could never live without). He is also father to 3 of my most precious gifts. Joshua and Josia, twins who are 7 years old. And our newest grandbaby, Karissa, who is now walking and talking, and got her dad worried for when she's a 16 year-old, platinum blonde with curly locks and sparkling green eyes.

Debbi ~ Debbi is our baby and like her father was the most spoiled, though they both deny it. She's the mother of my very first grandchild, Christopher. He is a true blessing and constant joy, (though I must admit at 6-years-old going on thirty, he's a bit bossy at times.) Ashley is 3 and still thinks that Nana always knows best. Well, accept when she wants to play with the computer. She thinks the mouse should be drug around the room with the cord acting as a leash. Debbi's better-half, Doug, operates an automotive shop and creates ornamental artwork from wrought iron.

Bill owns his own truck, hauling dirty rocks and stuff, when he isn't on the lake fishing or chewing on a Tootsie Roll Pop!

(On second-thought, he probably does that while he's driving, too, chew on the Pop..... not fish)

Charlotte works at our all-time favorite sight for family entertainment, Wally- World! (At least, it's one of my favorite places to go. Yes, she gets a discount too!)

Troy ~ Charlotte and Bill's first born son. He's a truck driver, too (Gee I don't know where he got that bad habit) But he's improved on the rest of us, like dad, he owns his own truck. With wife, Chaleen, they just gave Charlotte and Bill another brand new granddaughter.

Tracye ~ Is their first and only daughter and mother of Desiree and Spencer (they put the twinkle in their grandparent's eyes)

Trampus ~ Is the baby, and like Matt, single. We have another tall, good-looking Spencer male here. He's trying his hand at auto mechanics and promises to clean up properly before walking on your carpet!

Since Virgil's passing, Betty is retired and enjoying some free time to see her brothers and some parts of the world that she never had a chance to visit while raising five, unruly boys!

Jackie ~ First born son, married to Pam (she can fix anything, I swear she can) father to Steve, Melissa and Nick. Jackie is the head of a brood of his own now, with so many grandchildren and great-grandchildren for his mother. We're waiting on an update from Pam...

Jimmy ~ Second of the brood, wife Caroline, and children.....Another of the Gang on the Hill!

Jerry ~ Third son, along with his wife Becky own a fence company in East Texas, ((someone has to keep them cattle off the road)). Jerry and Becky have three sons and one beautiful grandson, Joshua Allen, of course we know he isn't spoiled a bit.

Brandon ~ 23 ~ is their first son. He's tall, dark and single. (Hey, here's another one all you beautiful, single women...) Brandon works full-time fencing for his father.

Derek ~ 20 ~ is the proud single, father of their gorgeous grandson. He also works for his father but intends to return to school this year. Like a few of these other Spencer men, he's cute, blonde and loves having a good time. (Come on girls!)

Jerry and Becky's baby is Zachary. Of course, he doesn't see it that way at Sixteen. He has dark blonde hair, he's a junior in high school, and his most important goal at this time is keeping the road hot!

Becky says that all of her children have brought bright spots to their lives and she wouldn't trade them for the world, (of course she did mention renting them out long-term)

Joe ~ Fourth son (yep 4^th) is truck supervisor for Turner Bros. Trucking, (we need one in this great family of truck drivers). Turner moves and sets-up drilling rigs in the oil fields of Texas. Joe hopes to be in the front office someday, but would be just as happy retired and fishing all day long. (Which he does anyway at times.)

Joe is married to Michealle who works as receptionist and all-around girl-Friday for Jerry and Becky's fence company. No small duty being to baby-sit Joshua when the need arises. Joe and Michealle have one son, Jeremy ~ 12, and in the 7th grade. (Almost a teenager, Michealle, look-out!!) Joe and Michealle are part of the Gang on the Hill, residing on acreage with a view donated by the Pop of the brood, Virgil.

John ~ Fifth son, with Bobbi, runs rough-shod over two youngin's as part of the Gang on the Hill. He also fences for Jerry and other companies and drives a truck when he's bored.

Bonnie has worked for Eckerd Drugs for too many years to tell.....shhhhhh... And Gordon works for Groom and Son's Hardware. They are the proud parents of a brood of Five.

Shari, the youngest of Bonnie's daughters, along with hubby Brian and son Timothy. Shari works in the Property Recovery Division of the Dallas Police Department, while Brian works for Best Buy.

Greg, their oldest son, recently re-enlisted. He'll be in California until the end of the year then he'll get a 30 day leave and come home in January. When leave is over he'll go to Oklahoma for 40 days to train, then it's on to Offutt AFB near Bellevue, Nebraska.

Lionel is a mechanic for the City of Dallas. He works on their garbage trucks and street cleaners. He really likes it. He studied art his first year of high school then switched to auto mechanics. Then he took courses and got certified through Eastfield Junior College. He really likes working on cars.

Lisa, Bonnie's firstborn, is married to Robert, also a mechanic for the City of Dallas. She has a son, Lucas, who just turned 8. He reminds them of Lionel when he was young and still loved to draw. Lucas has already been entered in contests and has won one. One of his drawings was recently on the cover of our weekly church bulletin. His sister, Amelia, has just turned 10. She's very bright and loves to read. She goes to a magnet school in downtown Dallas for smart kids. She likes the bus ride and all the neat things they do in school.

Colette's hubby, John, is a licensed electrician and is a route technician for SLi Lighting Solutions. Colette writes, "My son Jake is 12, I can't believe it. Where does the time go? He's a sixth grader who likes basketball. He also likes science and is full of questions. One of his favorite is WHY? ugh!
