Tyler, in April, 2 days before his death

Tyler was a wonderful loving child. If anyone could
have a favorite child he would have been the one. He
had a way with people a way that seemed to touch
people's hearts. He could meet someone and within
minutes they had been won over by his charms and
antics. He was very grown and mature for his small 4
years. I guess maybe he knew that he had only a short
time to live a full life, so that he did. Once Tyler
told me "Momma, you're a good woman".. I didn't know
what he was talking about so I asked him why. He had a
strawberry the size of a small apple in his hand and
he told me it was because I bought him strawberries.
He always said things like that, things that made you
feel so special, but sounded so grown. He loved
everyone and everything. He was a truly special child.

On April 08, 2000, just 4 months after his brothers
death, Tyler was taken from me in a drowning accident.
We had gone to visit some friends in Florida for my
weekend off and he fell into the pond beside the house,
and died an hour and a half later. We did CPR, we
called 911, everyone did all that they could do, but
it just wasn't enough. We came back from my mini-
vacation without the light of my life.

Now we're trying to cope with the death of 2 kids and
the child protection people who somehow feel I'm not a
good enough mother because my child died. It's hard
and everyday becomes more of a struggle, but this page
is my way of spreading Tyler's love and smile with all
who wish to see it. He loved everyone and we all miss
him very much.  Please, take time to look at his
pictures, read the poems that were read at his service
and remember him with the fondness that we all have
for him. Don't forget to sign his guestbook...

When Tyler's mom contacted me about making his webpage, she told me he loved 'Bugs', especially ladybugs and dragonflies....Hence, this background.
